The county has also confirmed there have been five coronavirus-related deaths in Contra Costa.

Is that five related deaths or five caused deaths.

A legitimate question. I have read elsewhere that if the individual tested positive before their death, they are counted as SARS2 death. So the guy with CHF, who is smoking two packs a day, catches SARS2, they count him.

The inconsistencies abound. From Lehigh Valley, PA:

“Lehigh County Coroner Eric Minnich confirmed the patient died Friday night at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill. He said the primary cause of the man’s death was a head injury from a fall at home, but that the virus was listed as a contributing factor to his death.”

This was tabulated as a death due to Coronavirus in the county report.

so right now, I’m watching a news story where dan pennycord (sp?) a CCC Health Official was giving a public statement and was wearing a mask. Incorrectly and was touching his face…. Great example!

If you are breathing hard through your nose stay home! Even if you don’t think you have the virus!

If your coughing stay home! Even if you don’t think you have the virus!

I only go to the grocery store to get milk, banans, apples, etc as I have already stocked up on other stuff but every time I go there’s always one or two people there coughing, breathing hard through their nose and it drives me insane I turn the opposite way and get the away from them fast as possible.

Don’t these people have friends or family that can drop the stuff off to them in front of their home or why don’t they just have contactless delivery done instead of being so selfish and think well I got it everyone else can get it.

Safeway should have people looking out for people like this and tell them to leave the store and order their stuff delivered to their front door for drop off.

And if they’ve tested negative but have seasonal allergies, is it OK for them to share the store with you?

Or maybe you should do the pickup and avoid those people instead of being part of the problem. You might not have a cough or symptoms but you could be carrying it right now.

I came across a few coughing people today. It’s frustrating, because if you are too near a coughing person, you won’t know if your ok until two weeks have past. That’s a lot of time to be in doubt about one’s one health.

People who have allergies should take their allergy pills, and carry cough drops at all time. That’s what I do, because I don’t want to give people the wrong impression.

People who don’t have allergies but are finding themselves coughing, really need to be careful. These people in particular should be taking a cough suppressant, wearing a mask, limiting their time around other people, and keeping their distance.

for all intents and purposes, grocery delivery is unavailable, the demand is so high its nearly impossible to get a time slot, Grocery delivery is not the answer to anything right now.

Am I allowed to clear my throat or is that too selfish also? The cheap perfumes they put in your soap and shampoo makes it hard for my airways to stay open, and the laundry detergent you use and your deodorant and aftershave can set me to coughing. I’d like not to have to feel that uncomfortable, but easy breathing days are few and far between. It is kind of you to go the opposite way as fast as possible, I really do appreciate that.

Allergy Season is about to turn into the Salem Witch Trials!!!!

Interesting article on the source of California’s outbreak.

Researchers track how COVID-19 infiltrated California, spread in Bay Area communities

Trump’s travel bans were almost prescient.

So are you saying we should build a wall to keep Americans from coming back home once they left and that Trump’s travel bans would have included those on vacation? Not sure what your point is. Please elaborate?

These people who have/had it and those who have died from it, are they the same ones who are lining up at the butt crack of dawn at Costco and Target and wherever else to get what they feel they need at that moment cause they are panicking? Or like other news media are saying, did or do they already have other health conditions. I’m sorry, it is so hard to believe all this with VERY little information let alone misinformation we get about this. I mean the CDC and WHO aren’t even on the same page. Just sayin’

“These people who have/had it and those who have died from it, are they the same ones who are lining up at the butt crack of dawn at Costco and Target and wherever else to get what they feel they need at that moment cause they are panicking?”

If the ones who have died from it are lining up at Costco or anywhere else, they should be easy to spot.

Once again, I find postings on facebook with pictures of family and friends, some have traveled out of state. These pictures are current, within the past week. This is not OK!!! WTF! I miss my family and friends too, but I have no idea who I may come into contact with on the road. Time to grow up and be responsible!

Wow. Thanks for providing the link.

I know a couple that was living in Japan for a few months. They had planned to be there many more months but decided to com back because they didn’t know if it would even be possible to com back in the next few months. When they arrived back in America there was ZERO difference coming through customs. No extra questioning no temp check now illness check at all. This show America is doing NOTHING to combat this virus coming into the United States.

305/4493*100 is about 7%. if everyone is tested, there is 7% of them is confirmed
5/305 is about 2%. out of those who are confirmed, about 2% of them will probably die.
as of 2017, contra costa county’s population is 1.147.
1.147*.07= 80,290
80,290*.02= 1605
1605 is high.

Just be very thankful that you had a Governor who took this virus seriously from the start, and not some CLOWN in FLORIDA who didn’t enact a Stay at Home order until this past Friday in a state where 25% of the residents are age 60 and over!

California has 39 million residents. As of yesterday, there were 12,750 confirmed cases of coronavirus, with 270 deaths. Our first case was confirmed back on January 26.

Florida, by contrast, has 21 million residents – just over half the size of CA – and 10,250 confirmed cases with 170 deaths. Their first case was confirmed March 1st.

It’s terribly sad that we have people that are supposed to be leading this Country who haven’t taken this deadly virus seriously.

It’s really hard to believe that the governor of Georgia reopened the beaches… They’re likely to get more crowded every day and draw people from other states who believe they’re immune… This virus will never be truly gone until a vaccine is formulated and then probably not even then due to anti-vaxxers… https://www.ajc.com/news/local/tybee-island-mayor-blasts-governor-order-that-reopened-beaches/LB9d2LZiYDndA4dh0KNSnO/

The idiot that is the Governor of Georgia (Brian Kemp) said last week that he was only now “finding out that this virus is now transmitting (asymptomatically) before people see signs.”

A reporter at the daily White House coronavirus press briefing asked the President if Governor Kemp was just lying or incompetent.

Trump replied, “He’s a good man.”
