Congressman Mark DeSaulnier remains in critical condition following his hospitalization last week to treat complications of pneumonia from a traumatic rib fracture that occurred in a fall during a run.
The following information is from the family of Congressman DeSaulnier:
“We’ve been amazed and moved by the outpouring of support, prayers, and love from everyone who cares so deeply about our dad. We can’t thank you all enough. It’s a testament to him that even at this difficult moment, so many people have taken the time and effort to reach out on his behalf.
“At this point, our dad remains in critical condition in the ICU. The doctors are hopeful that he remains stable, but he has much improvement to go. He has devoted his time, energy, and his life to the citizens of California, and we hope that you will all continue to lend him your support while giving him the quiet he needs as he continues fighting the good fight.”
This is for Mark’s kids. I do not agree with his politics, but I sincerely hope the best for your dad.
My prayer for mark hoping you get well soon!!!
Hang in there, Mark. And to your family – so appreciative that you are keeping us updated – thank you.
I pray for a hedge of protection around Mark. Please heal him Lord.
Continued prayers for Mark and his family.
He has been my role model for a caring, uncorrupted, hardworking statesman.
Over many decades, I’ve never had a representative who is a better
communicator either. I’ve seen him running these trails in Clayton throughout the years and am so glad I called out ‘Thank you!’ the last time I saw him.
Thank you and blessings to you, Congressman DeSaulnier. 🙏🏼
He is the best!!!! I love Mark. He is a true patriot. He has to come through this.
Still praying for you Rep D. Thank your doctor’s, nurses and therapists for keeping you alive. Prayers also for his family. This must be a very difficult time. He’s only 67 yrs old.
I wish him a full and speedy recovery and retirement.
Mark DeSaulnier helped my family and I tremendously many years ago when we were on Welfare. Our kids were young and it was the day before Thanksgiving. The worker I had at the welfare office said she couldn’t help us due to the upcoming holiday. We would have to wait until the following week. I told her we had no food and would have no Thanksgiving. Unacceptable! My mother called Mark’s office to ask for help. He personally made a call and within a short time I got a call saying a check and food stamps were ready for pickup. I have never forgotten him for that! I pray he gets better soon. Prayers to his family also.
That is a wonderful story. I’m sure that lifted your spirits, and it shows a caring human being. Everybody like to beat up on politicians these days, but some of them actually cares.
When you are down and out and somebody does something out of the ordinary to help you, it gives you hope for the future and makes you determined to move forward with your life.
Praying for a quick and complete recovery!
Last year, my husband and I were waiting on a decision regarding a disability claim. We waited for months and the people at social security did not seem to know how to get us what we needed because it was an unusual case. When we called Congressman DeSaulniers office, my husband was invited to come in and drop off his documents. We soon had our claim expedited and after many months of uncertain financial stress due to being down to one income, we received the good news and our claim was approved without further incident.
I know there are many good stories in this district about the very kind Mark DeSaulnier. Thank you to those who shared them
This is tragic. I hope it ultimately ends well! The congressman and his family are in my thoughts.
Best wishes on recovery! My husband and daughter really enjoyed meeting with you in Washington, D.C. Thank you for all you do!
We need you, Mark! Wishing for a speedy and full recovery
I hate to see anybody suffer … but …
…when I was desperate and down and the (federal agency) was standing with its unjust and dirty foot on my innocent and damaged throat … he did nothing … said nothing … stood silent and left me for dead.
Just wanted to say I am sorry for his family, but …
Sending prayers to Mark and his family.
Wishing him a speedy recovery. We need him, please.
Dear family of Congressman Mark DeSaulnier: Hang in there! Let us keep up the positive prayers for Mark. He is young and strong but has had a terrible accident. Fortunately he is surrounded by the best doctors and nurses and hospital to take care of him.
Young and strong?? What??
What?…I am sorry you apparently didn’t get the love you needed as a child. Anyone who can show disrespect at a time like this was cheated in life. Hope things get better for you.
Teresa- I’m not sure why questioning “young, and strong” is a problem for you, but I send my good wishes your way anyway, sweetie!
Mark, I have been praying that you turn that corner…what a great birthday gift to have you back with us safe and sound….praying for a full and speedy recovery. You still have way too much work to accomplish so please, turn that corner. Still praying for you.
