Contra Costa County is reporting no new cases of coronavirus today, which means the number of confirmed cases in the county remains at 29.
There is one additional case being treated in the county from another jurisdiction, according to officials.
Nobody has died from the coronavirus in Contra Costa County, according to the health department.
No new “reported” cases. Probably because they don’t have enough test kits. It’s scary to think how many people might be walking around with it undiagnosed.
There’s tests being taken daily at medical offices thoughout the county. There’s no reports of lack of kits in these facilities.
If someone isn’t being tested either they think it costs money or they trust “the gov’ament” or they don’t understand science.
Don’t believe the media Rico… I know several people in the Health care field and they have been taking the proper precautions, and testing people for several weeks now. There is no panic from people on the front lines…. the fear is driven by social media and news outlets
I became ill last Monday, and have high risk health issues , and Kaiser is literally playing the hot potato game with me. My own physician copy and and pasted a article from health care website saying they are not testing. I made phone appointment. Dr said oh you have the flu???? I didn’t know someone could tell over the phone. Bad headache, tightness of chest sweats and chills comes and goes, no fever. It feels different then a strong flu. Feels like it’s just lingering. I’ve been home from work since Tuesday. But what if I was in a hole I’m just went to work and I did have it so Rico is right.
This is good news… maybe instead of saying people aren’t getting tested, we could think maybe people aren’t sick enough to feel they need to be.
That’s not really a good thing. Apparently, the virus is infectious before it displays symptoms.
It just makes it easier to go completely undetected.

Very good explanation about how social distancing works to reduce spread.
Good news!
If they aren’t getting tested, they don’t fit the profile to warrant testing.
Kaiser’s website says they won’t test you unless you’re high risk. How many people have it but are being told to stay home and “self-quarantine.”
Exactly if you read my post above ,
Newsom just ordered all bars to close. Now we are getting carried away.
He’s also telling people over 65 to “stay home.” What if they work F/T?
Possibly, but he may have waited too long before he took this step. If people are sitting elbow-to-elbow at a bar, they’re putting themselves and everyone they come in contact with at risk.
Social Distancing is saving lives. Look at the statistics of the countries that limited human contact vs. those that took action. Big difference.

Also, this is the first time in over half a century that we’ve been grounded. Probably a good idea, then and now.
Doesn’t he know that alcohol is a disinfectant? As Willie Nelson says, ” there are more old drunks than there are old Doctors”
It is the weekend. Not a lot of testing going on, so maybe that’s why the numbers didn’t go up.
On a side note, I wonder which retail stores in Concord will have drive thru testing?
