But if the State price gouges commuters by charging higher tolls on Express Lanes during the morning and evening commute, it’s fine.

That’s different. Bridge toll revenue goes to Government, not those providing something desperately in demand.

What good is normal priced hand sanitizer you can’t buy because hoarders caused a stock-out at the artificially low price? Why would manufacturers divert resources to supply more where needed, when all they’ll get is what they ordinarily get for it?

@addlepate Yes, because one has not been declared an emergency where people have died. Because you are so uneducated in the law, this link may help.

@Robdon3 so it is ok to price gouge as long as a state of emergency has not been declared

Okay guys! Let’s privatize the roads so the free market can work! I’m sure there won’t be any complications with that! What’s that? You don’t like paying $40 to get to San Francisco? Well, you can take the cheaper route, but it’ll take you 4 hours in the economy lane, but you’ll save $10! What a deal! What’s that you don’t like that new highway being built behind your backyard? Too bad, free market bud!

Price gouging in California is legal as long it’s in the form of wasteful taxes.

Regardless of price, the hand sanitizer is all gone. And it sounds like Vodka might be next.

While unfair business practices are part of Mr. Becerra’s job description, I would prefer he focus on violent crime.

What’s amazing is he’s doing something besides suing Trump.

Oh great California.
Due to the laws in place Walgreens in SF are closing like crazy, empty shelves from shoplifting. They don’t prosecute.
One woman works in a jewelry store union square said they won’t prosecute unless its over $10,000 said they will most likely go out of business.
