As anyone with a computer could have researched, this El Nino season was predicted to be “neutral”, meaning neither particularly wet nor dry. This is exactly was has occurred, even though the news report video sounded a bit concerning in it’s tone.

There is no such thing as a water shortage.There is the same amount of water on the planet as always.Maybe stop diverting half of our water to LA?All this,is a clue they warned you about your rates going up tomorrow.

james is correct in that there is no water shortage on a planetary scale. He’s ignoring that sometimes there’s too much in one area (flooding) or too little in another area (drought). He’s also ignoring the energy and labor cost if humans were to try to move water from a flooded area to a drought stricken area.
Using james’ logic there are also no seasons. James’ view of Earth is it’s at a single temperature, worldwide. He would be correct if he lived on a nearby star system and measured Earth’s surface temperature from there.
