No major injuries were reported in a rollover vehicle collision on northbound I-680 near N. Main St. in Walnut Creek today.

Just before 3 p.m., the CHP was called to the collision, which involved two trucks, with one towing a trailer. The small trailer appeared to have flipped, and the other truck also rolled over.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

The new California ‘Rules of the Road’:
Drive as fast as you can
Don’t use your turn signal
Don’t stop at stop signs
Tailgate
Pay attention to your phone, not to driving

You got that right. People are like savages on the road. It especially bothers me when folks do not use their turn signals. That is very inconsiderate and self centered driving.

It’s so true,
I’m actually scared to drive because of the rude/dangerous drivers.
Big pet peeves; speeding in neighborhoods or parking lots, riding people ASS, driving 5 miles or lower then the speed limit, and hanging too long at green lights.
People need to learn how to drive.

Sad and dangerous!

I used to get annoyed with people pausing at green lights. However with the frequency of full speed red light running (Especially on Ygnacio Valley Rd.), you really have to treat a green light like a stop sign and look both ways before proceeding.

Sad but true.

Took me 1.5 hours to get to Walnut Creek from San Ramon. Ugh.

Isn’t it possible to take backroads? I live in Concord, my dentist is in San Ramon, I turn on Sycamore Valley road and then take the frontage road to almost Crow Canyon, not even sure of the name, is it Bollinger Canyon? Of course I might have taken you that long to get to Sycamore, but just a thought.

On behalf of people, like me, who live on these “side roads”, please don’t do it. I live on one of those roads, Walnut Blvd, and over the last few years it’s become a nightmare. Especially from people coming North on 680 and looking to get around the curve into Concord. So they get off at Rudgear and speed through my neighborhood. Unfortunately working with the city of Walnut Creek has not resulted in any help at all. I am reduced to staying home from 4pm until about 6pm or later. Ugh

You can take Danville Blvd to Main Street all the way down Contra Costa Blvd. Its quicker.

I saw the emergency vehicles in my rear view mirror. The traffic was terrible. A parking lot as far as the eye could see. I felt so bad for those people in stuck there. Fortunately I was going south and the mess was all heading north.

I miss the old days before cell phones. There are just too many distracted drivers with all of the technology. Cars have become an extension of offices and homes for many people at the cost of safety for other drivers and pedestrians.

In addition and as others have mentioned, many people do not use their blinkers when changing lanes which is inconsiderate, lazy and illegal. Then you have the Vin Diesel wannabes trying to act like they are staring in the Fast and the Furious part 10. Trust me, no one thinks you look cool driving like that. You just look like a moron that is making up for shortcomings.

When you are behind the wheel you are morally and legally obligated to operate your car in safe manner. Sadly many do not.

There is an old saying… Keep your eyes on the road. If you can’t drive safely and follow the laws of the road then be a passenger to someone that is capable of the job.

Great advertisement for GMC trucks,,,
