The roof is leaking and several stores are flooded at the Sunvalley Mall in Concord.

Most of the mall is currently closed due to the leak, although a few stores are still open, including Macy’s.

Thanks to Corina Keene for the photo.

Thank you for the story! Looks like this rain caught a lot of us unawares of issues!! Lots going on everywhere!

Most of the mall is currently closed?!? Isn’t it a big EARLY for that? Especially considering that it’s Thanksgiving week, and so close to Christmas?!?

It says most of the mall is closed DUE to the leak

All the merchants of the mall were told to close due to flooding.

The way I understood the article the stores had to close due to flooding, no retailer wants to close this time of the year unless the absolutely have to.

lol thank you for the quality entertainment, Mimi

Mimi is a rocket scientist.

We have a roofing company and probably the drains are plugged with leaves etc. that’s probably all that need to happen… flat roofs are a nightmare!

Our family room is flat and you are right they suck. Ours started leaking tonight. Glad we aren’t having thanksgiving at our house.

Bummer for the stores. Seems the mall management isn’t doing proper maintenance. Trying to save money, perhaps, given the downturn in retail store spending?

Same management style as pg&e?

Wish they would close this nasty, cavelike, outdated, dirty, disgusting he’ll hole.

Hahahahahahahahaha

The mall is open today.

I just went to the mall to go to David’s tea and the fire alarm started going off. All the stores started to close their doors so I just left

No info yet on when the mall will reopen. I’ve tried to contact them but no response. Claycord has no info. Does anyone have any info. I don’t want to travel over for a closed mall.

The mall is open…………… I was there today. Lots of stores have fans blowing but the floors are dry. Go shop..
