Fairfield Man Indicted For Allegedly Attempting To Molest Child In Pleasant Hill

A federal grand jury in Sacramento has indicted a Fairfield man for allegedly trying to meet a child to molest her, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott said Thursday.

An undercover agent on Nov. 1 observed a post on the social media site Whisper allegedly by Kevin Blaine Cline, 46, of Fairfield. Cline allegedly said he was “Looking for dad’s (sic) who love their daughters near
me. I …Have a question”, federal prosecutors said.

The notation at the bottom of Cline’s post said, “Freaky Sexual Desires”, according to prosecutors.

During a two-day conversation on Whisper with an undercover agent, Cline allegedly sent two images of child pornography to the agent and tried to arrange a meeting with a 7-year-old girl in order to molest her, according to prosecutors.

Cline then apparently drove from Fairfield to Pleasant Hill to meet the intended victim and he was arrested when he arrived, authorities said.

If convicted of attempted online coercion, Cline faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum term of life in prison and a $250,000 fine, prosecutors said.

The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office, Department of Homeland Security and the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigated the case that will be prosecuted by Assistant U.S.
Attorney Christina McCall.

I feel the minimum penalty should be castration.

Are there actually young girls that would answer an add like that? Besides being a pervert the guy is not that bright.

I hope you see the irony of calling someone dumb on account of not understanding something yourself.

The advertisement was aimed at “dads”.

Freaky Sexual Desires aimed at Dads that love their daughters. What kind of Dads would that be? Go plaque someone else Googlar.

How dumb can he be? I hope he doesn’t get off because his IQ is too low.

Weak case at best. Good case of entrapment.

en·trap·ment
/inˈtrapmənt,enˈtrapmənt/ noun

This is not entrapment. Legally, entrapment is getting someone to commit a crime that they normally would not do. In this case, it is quite clear that the perpetrator intended to do something sick, because HE POSTED THE SOLICITATION. Law enforcement or not, Cline was ready and willing to molest a child.

re-read his post. Pure entrapment.

Cowellian November 15, 2019 - 7:03 PM - 7:03 PM

That was not entrapment. He’s the one that went looking for a child to molest, and he’s the one that emailed child porn.
