At its November 5 meeting, the Concord City Council announced the recruitment of three positions on the City’s Measure Q Oversight Committee to serve four-year terms ending December 31, 2023. The deadline for applications is Friday, January 3, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.
The Measure Q Oversight Committee consists of five members; at least one representing the business community, at least three residents of the City of Concord, and a fifth member from either category. The terms of Brian Freire, Gregory Grassi, and Diane Sprouse expire on December 31, 2019.
Each year that Concord’s voter-approved Measure Q half-cent use and transaction tax is collected, the Measure Q Oversight Committee reviews the City’s annual audit report, which includes the Measure Q tax revenue and expenditures, and provides recommendations to the City Council on the use of Measure Q revenue.
The Committee produces a report that records the results of its review of the City’s audit and its recommendations for expenditure of the revenue generated from the tax. The report is presented to the Council at a public meeting and is a public record.

That part actually will be open etc. BUT, before you apply, thinking you might have input or be part of the guidance and recommending to the Council, you should attend a meeting or two.
If you are selected, be ready to rubber stamp “YES” to whatever the City puts before the committee.
Be ready to see how those dollars are really spent and why!

wait didn’t they say measure Q would go to roads since their annual budget gets passed every year with little or no funding to maintain roads we have to pay more tax ..see measure Q and toll hike of 200% and gas tax.
