Firefighters worked hard to control the blaze, which was threatening structures and homes in the area.
The fire occurred a little before 10 a.m. today.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Martinez PD also reported today there was a fire at 9 AM under a railroad trestle at the Amtrak station. Started in a homeless encampment.

Thank you to the Firefighters for distinguishing the fire so quickly! We live only a few blocks away and the creek runs through our backyard very close to our home. Very grateful for your continuous efforts, bravery and hard work to protect our community! It is beyond appreciated.
