The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is calling yet another Spare the Air alert for Wednesday because of smoke impacts from the Kincade Fire in Sonoma County.
The alert, the third in a row issued by the air district, comes as air quality is expected to degrade Wednesday afternoon when strong winds forecast for late Tuesday into Wednesday morning subside.
When the wind dies down, smoke is expected to drain south from the wildfire into the rest of the Bay Area, and the air district said the strong winds could also create more smoke if the Kincade Fire grows or any other wildfires start.
The air district recommends that people stay inside if the smell of smoke is present outside. People can check hourly air quality readings at https://bit.ly/2p7UFgs.
Whats next a fine for running a generator during power outages on spare the air days?
Sounds like sarcasm to me….. LoL!
But I guarantee, some folks on here are going to think you’re really being anal.
That’s it, I’m picking up a load of firewood today. Folks up north have temps of 45 degrees IN THE HOUSE. Spare the air…more like spare the care
