Contra Costa County To Offer Charging Stations Today During Power Shutoff

Contra Costa residents who lose power during the Public Safety Power Shutoff can recharge medical and mobile devices from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at five locations of the county Employment and Human Services Department.

Locations that will be open are at 4545 Delta Fair Blvd. in Antioch; 400 Ellinwood Way in Pleasant Hill; 151 Linus Pauling Drive in Hercules; 1305 Macdonald Ave. in Richmond; and 40 Douglas Drive in Martinez.

In addition, PG&E will have a Community Resource Center at the front parking lot of St. Mary’s College at 1928 St. Mary’s Road in Moraga.

The PG&E center will operate from 80 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Sunday and provide charging stations, water and snacks.

There will also be a charging station available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the lobby the Lafayette Police Department, 3471 Mt. Diablo Blvd. in Lafayette.
