Either do it or stop wasting tax payer time and money…

martinezmike September 25, 2019 - 12:13 PM - 12:13 PM

Sorry, wasting taxpayers time and money is part of their job discription.

Mountainside Jay September 25, 2019 - 12:42 PM - 12:42 PM

I’d rather my tax money go to ejecting Traitor Trump from office than going to line his pockets. The MAGA crowd is just fine with enriching a New York coastal elite if he lets them hate who they want.

Forsythe September 25, 2019 - 2:32 PM - 2:32 PM

The Democrats have thrown their front runner, Joe Biden, under the bus. But then again, some believe that one of the hidden agendas of this charade, is to get rid of Biden.

So who’s left on the 2020 roster?

1. Elizabeth Warren? A radical socialist, fake indian?
2. Bernie Sanders? A crooked and crazed communist?

The rest, except for Amy Klobuchar–the only moderate, are way out there in loony lefty land.

The National Republican Congressional Committee said today that its fundraising was up 608 percent after the Democrats’ impeachment push.

The Trump reelection campaign said it raised $5 million in just 24 hours.

Ricardoh September 25, 2019 - 12:11 PM - 12:11 PM

He has done nothing wrong. Everything the democrats accuse him of they did and he didn’t. It is like the world upside down. Democrats care for one thing and that is power, to them the end justifies the means. They don’t care about the things that need to be done for the sake of the country. All they care about is getting power. They are going to be in for a rude awakening in 2020.

Mountainside Jay September 25, 2019 - 12:41 PM - 12:41 PM

Just like the “rude awakening” that got them the House last year.

BB September 25, 2019 - 12:48 PM - 12:48 PM

The interesting thing about your comment is that it illustrates how perception is everything.
Your comments mirror mine but in the opposite direction. For instance I feel that the republicans will sacrifice our country and our constitution to remain in power. I also believe that 45 has done something wrong…more than once.
I also believe in your right to your opinions and your right to express them… something that 45 is against

Ricardoh September 25, 2019 - 1:27 PM - 1:27 PM

B B Your problem is you are looking at a mirror image which is a reverse image.

Rollo Tomasi September 25, 2019 - 3:28 PM - 3:28 PM

“I also believe in your right to your opinions and your right to express them… something that 45 is against”

Do you mind expounding on how the President is against free speech?

dee September 25, 2019 - 4:10 PM - 4:10 PM

Name one thing he’s done for this country? Because in my book he’s done 0.

Anon September 25, 2019 - 4:17 PM - 4:17 PM

At BB:

GOOGLE: Arbiter of free speech?
Google has removed 500M comments, 100K videos fron YouTube in 2019 because they didn’t support it’s socialist/leftist agenda.
The extremely wealthy Google buys compliance by lobbying both parties.

Yogurt September 25, 2019 - 8:07 PM - 8:07 PM

Nothing you wrote is true.

He leveraged American tax payer money to try and smear a political rival.

End of story. It’s an abuse of power and trust.

I don’t have time to list everything else awful he has done

Fred P. September 26, 2019 - 7:05 AM - 7:05 AM

Jay – and just like the “rude awakening” that kicked the hildabeast to the curb.

Move on, loser.

jon September 27, 2019 - 6:43 PM - 6:43 PM

Dee,it sounds like you lost your Obama phone.

The Mamba September 25, 2019 - 12:20 PM - 12:20 PM

I feel like I’m missing something, unless the transcript of the call is incomplete. This seems like a really thin charge and I’m embarrassed for the Democrats trying to use this to impeach, although I understand they’ve never gotten over losing to Trump and likely never will. We’ve wasted years and millions of dollars on these witch hunts, and it is distracting from other more important issues. I just don’t get it.

Root Beer September 25, 2019 - 12:47 PM - 12:47 PM

It’s not an official transcript. The document that was released says, right at the top, ‘not a verbatim transcript.’ You can bet that things were removed.

The Grant September 25, 2019 - 12:57 PM - 12:57 PM

@ Root Beer,

Voice recognition software was used in preparing the ‘memorandum of telephone conversations’

The five-page document distributed by the White House includes a cautionary note indicating that it was “not a verbatim transcript” but instead was based on “notes and recollections of Situation Room Duty officers” and national security staff. But senior administration officials said voice recognition software was used in preparing the “memorandum of telephone conversation,” which included long, direct quotations

Justifiable anger September 26, 2019 - 2:05 PM - 2:05 PM

Its another ploy. A Blasey-Ford lie.

larry September 25, 2019 - 12:30 PM - 12:30 PM

This from the same people that refuse to enforce our immigration laws then have the balls to say “No one is above the law” bunch of friggin’ lying hypocrites.

Barbosa September 25, 2019 - 12:30 PM - 12:30 PM

Why don’t we just ride out the next 14 months and let us, the voters, have the final say on this matter?

burnbabyburn September 25, 2019 - 2:45 PM - 2:45 PM

You better stop that common sense thinking. It is forbidden in this state.

Fed Up September 25, 2019 - 4:44 PM - 4:44 PM

Because the Dems want to undo the election results by impeaching him. They will NEVER get over that they rigged the selection process so Hillary was his opponent instead of Bernie and LOST. People voted and SHE lost. Now you want to undo it. Remember, when Clinton was impeached the Special prosecutor listed MANY grounds for impeachment, not so with Trump…but no one wants to deal in FACTS. I’m NOT a fan of Trump, but there better be a lot more to this than what we’ve learned so far, otherwise, I hope dems get booted for this farce.

Commonsensenor September 25, 2019 - 12:32 PM - 12:32 PM

Why does it appear like the dems are being manipulated into their demise constantly at this point? I’d put money that the whistleblower is Trump’s doing.

He’s so crafty it kills me. Exposing the Biden/Obama/Clinton corruption on a global scale, for free, and having the dems do it for him. Hot damn is this man brilliant. I would never play cards with Trump, EVER.

Mountainside Jay September 25, 2019 - 1:03 PM - 1:03 PM

17 bankruptcies, the biggest moneyloser of the entire 1980s, and the man is somehow a genius?

It’s true, the poor man’s idea of a rich man and the stupid man’s idea of a smart man.

Commonsensenor September 25, 2019 - 1:30 PM - 1:30 PM

You can hate him for ego, womanizing, and anything else he may bend your emotional support fuzzy bear over, but he’s made it to the very top against all odds of beating the corrupt system.

So, I’ll stand behind him being an absolute genius that manipulates people into TDS, and making mistakes that he set up for them to make.

Ricardoh September 25, 2019 - 1:31 PM - 1:31 PM

Mountainside Jay can you imagine that and he is still a thousand times richer than you. Maybe a hundred thousand times.

Mountainside Jay September 25, 2019 - 1:40 PM - 1:40 PM

@Ricardoh

I kind of doubt that, fella, since he refuses to show his finances. Until he does, I’m betting I have a better financial standing.

Gittyup September 25, 2019 - 1:58 PM - 1:58 PM

Actually, when one gets that wealthy it is a tax advantage and absolute necessity to have substantial losses if you want to hold on to your fortune. It may not look good to you, but it’s making money for him, and what does he care what you think about it. Laughing all the way to the bank.

Pyrrhus September 25, 2019 - 2:48 PM - 2:48 PM

So being rich means you can’t be corrupt? Hey, I have a bridge to sell ya, you interested?

Also, Trump would have made more money investing his Father’s “Loan” into index funds. He is not a good businessman and is a known loser and a known fraud. The man doesn’t pay his bills and takes advantage of small companies by stiffing them or paying a small portion that is owed.

Sick of it September 25, 2019 - 7:43 PM - 7:43 PM

Mountain Jay. If you had a brain and looked at any one that runs as many different business as him almost all of them have bankruptcies on certain divisions of business as they try new things and ventures. It’s part of doing business in creating new business’s. They take a risk that something you would never do, and some times they lose sometimes they when. But they take the risk and bankruptcy protects some of there assets that they have invested in. Business 101

Fred P. September 26, 2019 - 6:35 AM - 6:35 AM

@sick – don’t try to explain finance or business to a sore-loser democrat.

It’s WAAAAAY beyond their comprehension. They’re still standing in line waiting for their free stuff.

Fred P. September 26, 2019 - 7:04 AM - 7:04 AM

So, now Trump is being accused of being a fraud. Let’s see the specific proof for that.

And jay, let’s see YOUR finances – since you’re “betting you have a better financial standing.”

Put up or shut up.

BOOYAH! September 25, 2019 - 12:34 PM - 12:34 PM

Would somebody please tell me what Trump actions actually constitute “Treason, Bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors?” Won’t accept “I don’t like him, so impeach him. “

Pyrrhus September 25, 2019 - 1:24 PM - 1:24 PM

Reading the comments here, one thing is certain. Trump supporters will support Trump no matter what he does and will back him no matter what happens.

As someone that didn’t vote for Obama or for Trump, this is the biggest difference I have seen between their followers. Obama was loved by his supporters but every single one I’ve talked to saw him as a flawed man that made mistakes along the way. The Trump supporters (that haven’t ditched him yet) I’ve talked to always make excuses for him or that it’s simply fake news and won’t even hear anything else. The zealotry is a bit frightening and very cult like.

I’ll use a direct Trump quote to describe his supporters.

“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, okay, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, okay? It’s, like, incredible.”

Donk September 25, 2019 - 1:25 PM - 1:25 PM

Rollo Tomasi September 25, 2019 - 3:36 PM - 3:36 PM

Right, since objecting to characterizations of President Trump as Hitler, the antichrist, etc is the same as mindless support of him.

Mountainside Jay September 25, 2019 - 12:41 PM - 12:41 PM

No matter what the petrified “MAGA” crowd says, Trump should be impeached, will be impeached and even if not convicted by the traitor GOP in the Senate, will have his crimes laid bare for all to see. That is, the crimes he hasn’t yet ADMITTED to.

The Grant September 25, 2019 - 12:58 PM - 12:58 PM

@ Mountainside Jay,

Impeach? on what grounds?

Darwin September 25, 2019 - 1:22 PM - 1:22 PM

TRUMP 2020!!!
The wall is looking good, the economy is strong.

Mountainside Jay September 25, 2019 - 1:30 PM - 1:30 PM

@The Grant
Keep tuned to your TV screen. Unless you watch FOX, in which case they’ll do 30 days of skateboarding dogs instead of the impeachment hearings.

@Darwin
Natural selection somehow failed you, my boy

Ricardoh September 25, 2019 - 1:41 PM - 1:41 PM

Mountainside Jay
Sorry to tell you this but you are a touch delusional. Maybe into the wine?

Wage Slave September 25, 2019 - 2:11 PM - 2:11 PM

Democrat overreaction is what is keeping Trump afloat. His very presence in Washington offends their (Republican and Democrat establishment) egos. They can’t help but leap at every crumb and bit of bait that falls out of the 24 hour news cycle.

If Democrats could just be normal for a while, they would have both houses already, and be up 20 points in the presidential polls.

It is to Trump’s good fortune that he has AOC types and the green new deal, 78 gender pronouns, biological males competing in women’s sports, open border/ICE abolitionists, free needle dispensing, poop patrolling the homeless camps Democrats to run against. If he was running against a 3rd term Obama, he wouldn’t stand a chance.

The powers-that-be need to get over the man, and start addressing the reasons he got elected. Flat wages being eaten up by inflation, outsourcing of good jobs to Chinese slave labor, and depression of entry level wages by a surplus of unskilled immigration. The middle class is shrinking, and this country is in trouble if that continues. Whichever candidate bests addresses that will win.

Ir they can just keep calling anyone that votes for him a racist bigot and see how that goes.

Darwin September 25, 2019 - 3:42 PM - 3:42 PM

TRUMP 2020!!!
Mountain Side Jay, you are a democrat and learning about natural selection the hard way, my boy.

Cyn September 25, 2019 - 9:37 PM - 9:37 PM

To Jay, WOW, you’re such a good little CNN soldier. They have you totally brainwashed.

Roz September 25, 2019 - 12:41 PM - 12:41 PM

@ Ricardoh ~
Think you hit the nail on the head! So much un-true info out there.
The Sheeps are running off the Cliffs, and the Dems are leading them there.
And if this keeps going, what stops this from happening to every President after Thump.

Simonpure September 25, 2019 - 12:56 PM - 12:56 PM

Wow Roz…I think this is the first time I’ve seen a post from you on politics. You go girl!!!

The Fractionator September 25, 2019 - 12:42 PM - 12:42 PM

HaHaHa, Trumpy Bumpy the Teflon King is not going anywhere. No collusion and no impeachment!

Cellophane September 25, 2019 - 12:42 PM - 12:42 PM

One would believe that if there are provable and chargeable crimes and misdemeanors they would have been addressed by now.

I believe the U.S. Congress should either fish or cut bait.

Aunt Barbara September 25, 2019 - 12:46 PM - 12:46 PM

No. He had a big mess to clean up from Obama trying too hard to be cool

It’s a tough job and he’s the man to do it.
PELOSI IS ABUSING THE IMPEACHMENT PROCESS AND HER FACE, with all her procedures.

Mountainside Jay September 25, 2019 - 1:01 PM - 1:01 PM

Trump should be impeached for the sheer reason that either he thinks he is dictator or he is hopelessly senile and unfit for office. Proof: https://www.sfgate.com/politics/article/trump-press-conference-pelosi-twitter-jokes-14467585.php

Liar! Liar! September 25, 2019 - 2:00 PM - 2:00 PM

His joke went right over your head.
That’s an impeachable offense.

Rollo Tomasi September 25, 2019 - 3:40 PM - 3:40 PM

You people have no idea how easy it is for him to troll you.

Gittyup September 25, 2019 - 9:34 PM - 9:34 PM

Hey … Mountainside Jay … look … over there … it’s the laser.

Gittyup September 25, 2019 - 10:01 PM - 10:01 PM

When asked about Greta Thunberg, Trump replied something to the effect, “She’s a happy girl.”

Fred P. September 26, 2019 - 7:01 AM - 7:01 AM

So please tell us specifically how Trump meets the definition of “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Obviously, telling a joke (saying “as far as I’m concerned, she’s no longer the speaker….”) is, in your tiny mind, grounds for impeachment.

And you use SFGATE as “proof.”

You’re another sore loser.

Gittyup September 26, 2019 - 9:42 AM - 9:42 AM

If some of you miserably unhappy liberals got Trump’s sense of humor, you’d have a better appreciation of his sarcasm and not take the things he says so literally.

Liar! Liar! September 26, 2019 - 10:06 AM - 10:06 AM

Conservatives take everything Trump says seriously, but not literally.
Liberals take everything the President says literally, but not seriously.
And that’s why every gotcha the liberals have used to attack their elected President has failed miserably.

Concerned Citizen September 25, 2019 - 1:06 PM - 1:06 PM

The system is broken. We need an entire overhaul, which we will probably never see. What I can’t/don’t understand are women who support Trump. He’s a sexist, racist, pig, who treats and speaks about women like they are beneath him. He’s disgusting. A “show-man” who has embarrassed the country on multiple occasions. Praying we see change in 2020

Roz September 25, 2019 - 2:18 PM - 2:18 PM

WOW! You sound just like my sister who watches “The View”, and it’s like her Bible,…but she is anti- God/Jesus, and thinks the real Bible is a story book.

Missy September 25, 2019 - 3:46 PM - 3:46 PM

So Roz, what you are saying is that your sister is way smarter than you.

Roz September 25, 2019 - 4:23 PM - 4:23 PM

@ Missy,…Ha!
It was just weird,…same words my Sister would have said.
Plus, Yes!, I think my Sister is smart.
My Sister and I don’t see eye to eye, but that’s O.K.
We do get a long for the most part. 🙂

Stay classy Roz…you are the best!!!

MoJo September 25, 2019 - 1:15 PM - 1:15 PM

The Democratic party keeps firing what they claim are nuclear missiles at Trump but when they miss the target and land harmlessly beside him, they turn out to be dirt clods. When will they learn? Probably should of focused on getting something constructive done while they hold the house instead of jumping up and down and screaming like a bunch of infants and focusing entirely on removing Trump from office. Big ole waste of time so far.

Atticus Thraxx September 25, 2019 - 1:15 PM - 1:15 PM

Where ineptitude and criminality meet, needs a new name. The Trump Effect maybe. Everything he touches turns to s**t. Let me know when he’s in handcuffs, I have no time or patience for this crap anymore.

BOOYAH! September 25, 2019 - 10:38 PM - 10:38 PM

So we should’ve voted for Hillary? Can’t WAIT for the Russians to force me to vote for Trump again!

Anonymous September 25, 2019 - 1:16 PM - 1:16 PM

You know who loves this?

A clue: Biden looks a little shady what with his son being on a Board for one reason only- his name.

Trump looks like a flake in the whole thing.

So who benefits ?

Huskerfan September 25, 2019 - 1:17 PM - 1:17 PM

“NO”

Ricardoh September 25, 2019 - 1:35 PM - 1:35 PM

Mountainside Jay can you imagine that and he is still a thousand times richer than you. Maybe a hundred thousand times.

Rollo Tomasi September 25, 2019 - 3:44 PM - 3:44 PM

Pretty sure he meant “no”

Original G September 25, 2019 - 1:18 PM - 1:18 PM

Anything to dominate and control the news cycle, which at same time is giving hope to Iran, N. Korea, China, Russia and others. Hoping if they stall until after 2020 elections they’ll again have another bowing, apologetic invertebrate career swamp dweller as president.

Low information ones in the media pushing and ones listening probably fail to realize it takes Sixty Seven senators to impeach a president and that’s not gonna happen.

Charlie September 25, 2019 - 1:41 PM - 1:41 PM

Especially since it is a Republican controlled Senate. President Clinton was impeached by the Republican controlled House back in the day but not the Democratic controlled Senate.

JWB September 25, 2019 - 3:11 PM - 3:11 PM

@ OG

Once again you label others as “low information ones” and completely fail basic civics. Please inform yourself. It doesn’t take sixty seven senators to impeach a president. Article One of the United States Constitution gives the House of Representatives the sole power of impeachment of officers of the U.S. federal government.

The role of the Senate is the conviction on the charges, which is separate from the impeachment.

That’s why Presidents Andrew Johnson and William Clinton were impeached but not convicted.

Original G September 25, 2019 - 3:51 PM - 3:51 PM

Three step process according to wikipedia, nbc and abc articles.
But can see why some would want to consider what only goes on in The House. Full process will never have desired results for liberals but if holding onto a partisan political house victory is needed for comfort, can understand. (Cognitive dissonance)

Am sure liberal media will claim victory, regardless of outcome and facts, as will liberal politicians pushing impeachment.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impeachment_in_the_United_States#Procedure

JWB September 25, 2019 - 4:16 PM - 4:16 PM

@OG

according to Wikipedia? How about according to the US Constitution? You really want to argue that President Clinton was NOT impeached?

Stop digging OG….. you are clearly a low information individual.

THE BLACK KNIGHT September 25, 2019 - 8:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Charlie,

During President Clinton’s impeachment trial in the Senate, the chamber was controlled by the Republicans, not the Democrats.

Dr. Jellyfinger September 25, 2019 - 9:38 PM - 9:38 PM

Rejecting the first charge of perjury, 45 Democrats and 10 RINO Republicans voted “not guilty.”

On the charge of obstruction of justice, the Senate split 50-50.

Clinton was guilty as sin, but not enough votes to get the needed two-thirds majority to convict the Democratic president.

Slick Willie slid free.

Mimi (original) September 25, 2019 - 1:18 PM - 1:18 PM

Trump should not only be impeached, but he should be removed from office. He was not the PEOPLE’s choice – we were victimized by the Electoral College franchise. Trump has done SO MANY illegal things that he should be in jail for the rest of his life!! And his family should be banned from participating in any governmental activities – immediately and forever! God Save the Queen!

Telling it like it is September 25, 2019 - 1:43 PM - 1:43 PM

Yeah Mimi (original or ding ding or whatever) . . . . Okay . . . so obviously you are not a scholar by any stretch of the imagination . . . Suggestion for you . . . . rather than just capitalize “SO MANY” illegal things . . . maybe give us a few examples, since you say there are “SO MANY” that he should be in jail for. It would lend more credence to your logic (or lack of it) if you could define your argument even just a bit. You don’t like our Constitution when it doesn’t work in your favor? Now I see why you are a Democrat. Short on brains? Vote Democrat . . . just keep voting for Democrats that are just as goofy as yourself. Ready to send Trump to jail without charges, a conviction, only because you don’t like him? Yep . . . I thought so. Best wishes on some mental capacity so you don’t hurt yourself or others around you.

Rollo Tomasi September 25, 2019 - 3:49 PM - 3:49 PM

@Telling like it is:
Give it up. You’ll never get specifics from them. Ask them “like what?” and you’ll get “just everything” or “what hasn’t he done?”. I get the feeling most of them would melt like the wicked witch if you required them to actually read the various codes and tell you which sections were violated and how.

Dr. Jellyfinger September 26, 2019 - 8:53 AM - 8:53 AM

Mimi….. he’s Donald Trump, not Napoleon Bonaparte.

Rollo Tomasi September 26, 2019 - 8:56 AM - 8:56 AM

Fred, let me expound a little on your first paragraph for Mimi’s edification. If the votes cast for BOTH candidates in just 5 out of 58 California counties (LA, Alameda, Santa Clara, SF, San Diego) are eliminated from the vote totals, Hillary still wins California’s electoral votes, but Trump wins the national popular vote.

Let that sink in. So many dullards would be fine with a very few population centers (with little in common demographically, economically and culturally) with the rest of the country determining the course of said country. It’s the absolute height of elitism and arrogance.

Fred P. September 26, 2019 - 11:23 AM - 11:23 AM

@rollo – thank you.,.

Fred P. September 26, 2019 - 11:25 AM - 11:25 AM

And Hillary is still playing the victim in stating the election was “stolen” from her.

Like I said earlier, victimhood seems to be a part of the democrats’ genetic makeup.

Liar! Liar! September 26, 2019 - 1:49 PM - 1:49 PM

And the Fascist left continues to show its contempt for the United States Constitution and the protections it provides for all citizens.

donk September 25, 2019 - 1:22 PM - 1:22 PM

hell no.

Dorothy September 25, 2019 - 1:28 PM - 1:28 PM

Question isn’t really if he should or should not. It’s if the process does go forward will the House actually vote for it? Odes are, yes. If they vote yes and it goes to the Senate, would the Senate vote for it? Odes are, no. So the real question is would it happen? No. He would become the 3rd one to face it and escape.

The Wizard September 25, 2019 - 1:33 PM - 1:33 PM

No, for what ?

Mountainside Jay September 25, 2019 - 1:43 PM - 1:43 PM

Well, let’s see, last time y’all screamed “IMPEACH” it was for someone lying about an affair. Trump’s had, what, three, four affairs? We can start there.

Liar! Liar! September 25, 2019 - 2:03 PM - 2:03 PM

Nobody has ever been impeached for having an affair!
Are you lying or stupid?

The Wizard September 25, 2019 - 2:12 PM - 2:12 PM

But he never lied about them under oath like that other dummy.

Mountainside Jay September 25, 2019 - 2:16 PM - 2:16 PM

@Liar Liar! (apt name for you, by the way)

Re-read what I said. Then crack open a history book. You might learn something.

The Wizard September 25, 2019 - 3:02 PM - 3:02 PM

Unless your description of a relationship is a 40 year old manager molesting his 17 year old employee, the Bill/Monica event wasn’t an affair, it was abuse of power while in office. I assume almost every high level politician is morally (if not legally) corrupt. Trump is just very bad at hiding that fact. That’s why he is not a very good politician.

Rollo Tomasi September 25, 2019 - 3:55 PM - 3:55 PM

Clinton lied under oath. That’s a material difference that just might be too nuanced for the pearl clutchers.

Sick of it September 26, 2019 - 1:48 PM - 1:48 PM

Mountain jay. You need to come out of the basement the air must be getting thin down there with all the stored up BS. Trump was not in office when he had affairs. Clinton was In Office and lied about it during the investigation. All you have is speculation that has been produced by the media and democrats that so far over the three years has never stuck. That is some sort of special to keep buying into that crap

WC September 25, 2019 - 2:05 PM - 2:05 PM

Every president I don’t like should be impeached! If who I vote for doesn’t win, then the winner should be impeached. 🙂

One candidate favored by one side lost, the sheep on that side want the one elected out, they think they are serving all people by starting these proceedings. Just stupid to watch.

Now you all suddenly care about the son of the at the time VP Profiting from his father’s position, and it’s all okay. WTF kind of shady dealing does Hunter Biden have going on over there???

Jojo Potato September 25, 2019 - 4:08 PM - 4:08 PM

None. That whole Hunter thing is a Trump created distraction. Isn’t it funny how some people are easily convinced that since Hunter is Joe’s son and in business then he must be taking sdvantage of his position. Yet Donald’s children are also in business but not accused of taking advantage of their position.

It sad that several people here do not understand being “Impeached”. He then has to be tried by the Senate (Republican Held) and the articles need to be found true; he needs to be convicted. We’ve only impeached 2 President in our history. Neither of them were found guilty and they held on to the Office. Don’t be too sure this is the end for President Trump.

ClayDen September 25, 2019 - 2:47 PM - 2:47 PM

Reading through these posts shows that there are a lot of people in Claycord suffering from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome).

He has not done anything impeachable and is the most consequential President since the great Ronald Reagan. He is doing a great job of cleaning up the mess from his predecessor, the worst President in the history of the greatest country on the planet. While I don’t always agree with his methods, he is doing a great job as our President and will likely be reelected.

Mountainside Jay September 25, 2019 - 3:15 PM - 3:15 PM

How easily we forget Iran Contra. In the words of the great John Glenn, either the president was incompetent or criminal. That’s Ronald Reagan for ya.

Atticus Thaxx September 25, 2019 - 3:42 PM - 3:42 PM

Rejected ClayDen. The only derangement is Trump supporters who continue to hear his lies as truth, his degeneracy as decency and his hate as patriotism. That’s YOUR syndrome, don’t be laying that crap at anyone else’s feet.

Dr. Jellyfinger September 25, 2019 - 4:09 PM - 4:09 PM

The bottom line is if Trump is not “impeached and removed from office” he will be reelected.

Now the House’s course is clear (for Democrats)….
They must impeach Trump and send it up to the Senate where they will hope that through some kind of miracle, the Senate will hold trial, find him guilty (of something) and remove Trump from office…

Newsflash! that isn’t going to happen.

So…the American voters will be scornful and united more than ever to reelect Trump and reject the Socialist witch hunt that has wasted so much time and money obviously trying to frame him.

Trump will be reelected and the will of the American voters will prevail … which is what the Democrats desperately want to avoid… isn’t that strange?

Independent Observer September 25, 2019 - 4:02 PM - 4:02 PM

As an independent observer, I find it quite amusing to read through all the comments and follow-up replies on here. One thing is for sure…democrats love the witch hunt and republicans love supporting Trump. Democrats seem to be extremely vocal with their feelings while Trump supporters seem to be quiet for the most part. Guess what? Impeachment will not happen. Don’t be too shocked when Trump gets re-elected for a second term. What democrats don’t realize is that there are a lot more Trump supporters out there that are just sitting back quietly and enjoying the show. I have to admit, it’s been quite a show. If you want to be heard, I encourage you to go out and vote in the next presidential election. Make your vote count.

No, but as someone on Politics said so eloquently, “Trump is the laser, and the Democrats are the cats.” They’re going to get bamboozled, again. They walked right into it. This time Nancy Pelosi even fell for it, even though that took a little extra doing on Trump’s part. They’re going to end up looking the deluded, ineffectual nitwits, again, until the whole country finally sees them for what they are. Meanwhile those same voters are going to start voting them out of office. They haven’t done a thing since the election but harass and bully Trump, his appointees, his staff, and sadly his family.

Why, even Willie Brown has now double crossed his “protege” Kamala Harris. While he took credit for her climb to the top based on little more than his philandering, he has now backstabbed her because of her low ratings in the polls. The Democratic party is in chaos; there’s divisive infighting; they have no viable platform; it’s the same old same old; and the socialist left is driving them en masse off a cliff. Meanwhile, their most popular candidate doesn’t know where he is most of the time because senile dementia has set in. If the Democrats were’t so comical, it might look like a Greek tragedy in three acts.

Employment is the best it has been in decades. Jobs have and are coming back to the US. Ca is a complete mess, and seem to be getting worse. Homelessness? Too many immigrants? And the Democrats want open borders and more people? When your house is full, you don’t issue an open invitation to everyone to come. We lock our doors, but they want open borders. A country without borders is not a country. Housing here is in short supply, our schools are crowded, our roads are crowded, and they want more people? In normal circumstances, yes. The problem is that the Democrats helped elect Trump by fielding their own impeachable candidate.

The parties need to nominate candidates with integrity; that mean it when they swear to uphold and defend the Constitution. If they can’t do that, people need to stop voting for D or R.

Mountainside Jay September 26, 2019 - 7:18 AM - 7:18 AM

Interesting, after 18 months of unrestrained investigation, exactly how many charges did the GOP Congress get Hillary brought up on?

Then, when they got a GOP Justice department, how many then?

Ever wonder why?

Always Right September 26, 2019 - 7:19 AM - 7:19 AM

In other words… someone other than Biden, Sanders, Harris, or Warren.

Captain Bebops September 26, 2019 - 9:28 AM - 9:28 AM

The public, in general, does not like Hillary Clinton. She only got the votes she did by people who believed they were doing “strategic voting” when they voted for here to keep Trump out. If she had not stolen i.e. bought the nomination then we most likely would have President Sanders today. Believe it or not, I’ve heard a number of conservatives even say they would have voted for Sanders if he had been the nominee. They had good reasons for this.

Gittyup September 26, 2019 - 11:20 PM - 11:20 PM

The Republicans nominated a candidate with integrity when they nominated Romney, an experienced legislator and a man held in high regard by the party. But, the voting public went haywire and elected a Clinton puppet and know-nothing “community organizer.” Obama was nominated to further the plans for a healthcare system Hillary began working on when her husband was President. The Democrats nominated a man who had no plan of his own, but was a good little Democrat and would follow orders.

This was supposed to be the Clinton’s really big, historically momentous contribution. The Clinton’s saw to it that Obama made a place for Hillary in his administration. Hillary was primed then to step in, after eight long and miserable years of Obama’s ineptitude, to carry the torch of a party moving the country toward a socialism-inspired healthcare system. She would shine. It was to be the Clinton’s plan to resurrect their image after the embarrassing little blunder that Bill made, marring his terms in office and leaving an ugly scar on his legacy. With Hillary as President, all that would be forgotten as they basked in the glory of their halcyon days. But, alas, we can only dream of what might have been.

Lucky for us, a number of missteps began to show that Hillary wasn’t any better at decision making than her philandering husband. Instead, the country saw through the ruse and elected Trump who has a much more realistic approach to problem solving and the business acumen to get things done. You may not like how he does things, but he does things. If anybody can clean up the mess in Washington, he can. You can sort of see why the Democrats just can’t let it go. I mean it plays like a Hollywood movie … if it had gone as planned. Democrats thought they had the Presidency all tied up with a bow.

When McCain lost, my friends and co-workers didn’t like it but they accepted it and moved on. But after the 2016 election – the Dems have refused to accept it and move on. Well I tell ya what
If trump sent Americans to die in Benghazi…and claimed what difference does it make
As well as hiding a secret server in his basement and sending classified documents to it that aides and such had access to

He would be in jail

So you tell me how many lives has he directly effected
Well lots of jobs and standing up to China …as most dems would say who cares but do you realize that China wants to be us and change the currency the world works off of …do you realize how your lives would be if your money your making now is worth 1/4 value

He is establishing our worth in the world as a country
You would be just to help yourselves and the country or suffer the consequences that are real not manhole covers and plastic straws

I mean it’s like trump puts plastic in the recycling bin and woah impeach
Woah he does not want illegals taking up all the affordable housing that people are complaining is all gone
Woah he is not sitting with Trent earthers …impeach
You do know that China is producing goods through any means necessary
With coal and lots of it spewing and spewing there is no epa and they are producing over 60% of goods in the world just check around your house90% is made in China and no reguard for climate yet impeach trump because he does not agree with what a small few are crazy about
Sure yeah the earth is changing but we know not why it’s a living thing that we still don’t know 110% about …but lots of people sure think they do

There are Congress women who don’t feel 9/11 was not that big of a deal
Who are not for American interests but a religions right to terror

But can’t say anything or a racist lol
Religion is racist but non say so right please

A sitting potus who can’t even use the restroom without being labeled a toilet paper waster is where we are
It only goes down from here
Is this really what you want a fine toothed comb for everything YOU DO
Because we are there …Alexa and iPhone and google and Facebook
It’s all there waiting for some radical to use it
Just like hitler did
I often wondered how Germans let that happen
Now it’s obvious
Your creating history
How do you want it to go

All we can do is vote. The lefts attempt to wreck the world has to be defeated.

Randy September 26, 2019 - 10:46 AM - 10:46 AM

Ricardo. Yes the majority of votes should make the rules or you have chaos.

Ricardoh September 26, 2019 - 11:59 AM - 11:59 AM

Randy I thought all of you libs were Constitutionalist? At least that is what you are all screaming about today. Ever heard of the electoral college?

Rollo Tomasi September 26, 2019 - 12:50 PM - 12:50 PM

Randy, answer a question for me. In 2008, the California electorate voted AGAINST legalization of same-sex marriage (by a larger margin as a percentage than Hillary’s 2016 popular vote victory). Barring any subsequent ballot measures that may have been voted on, same-sex marriage should currently be illegal in California. Would you agree? Do you even have the stones to answer the question?

S September 26, 2019 - 12:52 PM - 12:52 PM

AH Richard…. They love the electoral college until they lose…..

jon September 27, 2019 - 3:40 AM - 3:40 AM

When they lose,they consider it”chaos’

mtzman September 27, 2019 - 6:30 AM - 6:30 AM

It doesn’t matter what the percentage of voter approval is when the measure in question is unconstitutional. Prop 8 resulted in a halt to the issuance of same sex marriage licenses until the measure was found to be unconstitutional by the California Supreme Court and later in effect by the United States Supreme Court. Of course, you already knew that, so what’s your point?

Rollo Tomasi September 27, 2019 - 6:42 PM - 6:42 PM

Well done mtzman. Perhaps you could explain to Randy why electing the US President by popular vote is unconstitutional. As you wrote, I already know that. While you’re at it, perhaps you can explain to him the difference between a democracy and the beautifully crafted democratic republic that our founding fathers gave us.

mtzman September 28, 2019 - 6:59 AM - 6:59 AM

Nope, I can’t do that, RT, for while the Constitution does call for an electoral college, there is enough room in the document for a popular vote to be recognized by the states through the electoral college that would pass constitutional muster. And, yes, there is a difference between a democracy and a democratic republic, where, largely for practical reasons, representatives vote on behalf of the population writ large, but the beautifully crafted plan adopted by the founding fathers hasn’t always been that beautifully crafted, especially when you consider that more than half the population was initially excluded from voting for their representatives. The electoral college was another compromise that never fulfilled its intent and really has no place in today’s world. It also stands in tension with the notion of “one person, one vote.”

Rollo Tomasi September 28, 2019 - 6:20 PM - 6:20 PM

All fine arguments for someone who believes in an all powerful, centralized government. The founding fathers didn’t, and with some minor tweaks along the way, the electoral college works EXACTLY as it was intended.

mtzman September 28, 2019 - 7:26 PM - 7:26 PM

You seem to have forgotten that the Constitution was not the first governing document, nor were the founding fathers monolithic in their beliefs concerning the authority of the federal government vis-a-vis the states. Under the Articles of Confederation, the federal government had far less power than that provided in the Constitution. The Constitution itself was the result of compromises over a number of items, the supremacy of the federal government being one of the primary issues.

As for the electoral college, itself a compromise creation, a primary intent was to allow smaller states a bit more leverage over the more populous states. However, that never really materialized, as can be seen by the predominance of candidates from Virginia and Massachusetts in so many early elections.

HappyPappy September 26, 2019 - 9:17 AM - 9:17 AM

‘The Daily Worker’ lists a litany of Trump’s “high crimes and misdemeanors” but, as usual, it’s nothing but the usual pile of crap lies and propaganda. That’s standard fodder for these communist party sites and their Democratic Party comrades in D.C.
Earlier this year Congressman Al Green(D-Texas) showed that he and his fellow far left Democrats are in lockstep with the Communist Party U.S.A. when he stated, “I’m concerned that if we don’t impeach the President, he will get re-elected.” Yep…that’s exactly what this drawn out horror show it all about, the election. And their lunacy, along with their Democrat comrades, all but guarantees another win for Trump.
The shocker comes at the end of the article when the author admits this Ukraine folly won’t lead to impeachment, but is a means to “stain” Trump’s image in the eyes of the voters all the way until next November. In other words, one hoax is as good as any other as long as the Democrats have Trump in the cross-hairs for another year.
Gotta hand it to those leftist lunatics, they sure know how make a plan and stick with it, no matter how many perverse lies and fake stories they have to create.
There seems to be no shortage of them on this site, stating opinion as fact and making crazy accusations with no proof. But that’s how far we’ve devolved. Have you ever wondered which party is the most responsible for feeding that monster? Just read a few comments, they are easy to identify.

It is not going unnoticed that Adam Schiff tried to grossly distort the transcript in today’s farce of a hearing.

From Victor Davis Hanson:
“We are now reduced to Representative Adam Schiff supposedly reading the transcript of the Trump phone call, but instead making things up, editorializing, adding and subtracting, from what was actually said.

When caught, Schiff said that as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee he was actually offering a “parody” of the supposed grounds-for-impeachment document.”

Rollo Tomasi September 26, 2019 - 4:43 PM - 4:43 PM

That makes sense. Schiff himself is a parody of a politician doing the work he was elected to do.

Rollo Tomasi September 27, 2019 - 7:13 AM - 7:13 AM

If there’s an individual within the beltway who should have his mental health challenged, it’s Schiff. At this point, I think he actually believes the lies he told the electorate for two years that he had incontrovertible proof of the President colluding with Russia.

Hunter Biden was paid an outrageous salary to sit on a board. If that’s a crime, there are massive numbers of private citizens guilty of the same. It’s not a good look that his father’s name is the reason for it, but it isn’t a great “whataboutism”. It’s okay by me if we get a President Warren out of it though. Jay, I’ve never once made that claim ergo I needn’t defend it. However it is an opinion held by some that is completely subjective in nature, as is your claim of “the worst presidential conduct recorded”. The Dems have tried the same thing over and over (that’s the objective truth), each time believing the result will be different.

Gittyup September 27, 2019 - 8:22 AM - 8:22 AM

How about his unrelenting racist , anti police, anti military, and anti American rhetoric?
There is so much more. The worst was when an American journalist was was beheaded by terrorist, Obama made a quick statement and then went out and played golf It’s going to take a long time to undo the terror that Obama inflicted on America!

Since the day he got elected democrats have dreamed of impeaching him. All of the things they were for a few years ago they now marched against because he was for it. In spite of the opposition from the left he has many accomplishments that benefit our country. We could have many more if democrats would just co operated a little. However their brains are addled with TDS so all we have going now is impeachment over an innocent telephone call. I no longer recognize our country.

Yogurt September 27, 2019 - 11:09 AM - 11:09 AM

What accomplishments has benefited our country?

If by country you mean the Trump family, then you are correct.

All his foreign policy decisions are failures, just like his businesses.

All his domestic policies have done nothing than put vulnerable people in harms way.

I don’t know why you support a man that doesn’t care about you, or the environment we all live in or our allies in the world or any part of the government other than the parts that can keep him out of jail.

RBS September 27, 2019 - 9:42 AM - 9:42 AM

I tend to look at these circumstances in a larger context. Ultimately, the direction of any democracy (or constitutional republic), the country is in the hands of the electorate.

In my opinion, the United States electorate has made good choices for the office of president in my lifetime. The resulting administrations may have been good or bad, but the citizens made the best choice from the candidates running for the office. This is only my opinion, and only for the office of president, not for any other elected position.

The conclusion that I arrive at… is that the national electorate has been capable, smart and perceptive. Why are we the greatest nation on earth? Is it our diversity? …I do not think so. Is it our political parties? …no. If you ask 20 people this question, you will likely receive 20 distinct answers. Again, this is just my opinion, but I believe our strength is based on our culture. Additionally, our resources are obviously an important factor… the sheer size of our land and the raw materials at our disposal.

A while back, I asked this question to a very successful person, a billionaire… “why are we the greatest nation on earth.” He thought for a moment, and then declared that the answer is in our laws and government structure. I respectfully disagreed. If this were truly the case, then you could take our constitutional structure and laws, install them in any country on earth and then you would have another United States? No, I do not think so… because our relative success is based on our collective willingness to obey our laws, our basic belief in Judeo-Christian and Old English values. This does not imply that everyone is religious or embraces a strong belief in a supreme being, obviously not. But, I am describing the basis and framework of our culture.

What is now happening, is a symptom of the deterioration of our culture. It is a very gradual decline, and I believe that we are a long way to a complete breakdown, but the loss of our country is inevitable. At one time I thought that we were possibly 75-100 years from this eventuality, but is may be sooner. I am sure that it will not be in my lifetime.

The most perfect contemporary example of a wealthy nation deteriorating into failure, is the country of Venezuela. Did you know that Venezuela now has the most oil reserves of any county on earth? …more than Saudi Arabia or the United States? I do hope that someone is examining the circumstances of the decline of Venezuela… when it happens here, it will surely manifest itself in a different manner due the structure of our country. It will likely be a State by State failure, with the brightest and best of our citizens moving across state lines for escape and relief. Eventually, a safe haven for the wealthy and the most-capable will be established offshore. This will be made possible by the ease of transportation, by the increased simplicity of the transfer of wealth (it may not be BitCoin, but it will be an international hard currency). Who do you think were the first to depart a deteriorating Venezuela? …it was the wealthy, doctors, professionals, the brightest and best.

You can argue against these opinions and projections, but if our citizens cannot recognize the collective insanity that is increasing in our political system, then we will get what we deserve. In my lifetime it has become obvious that our officials elected to high-office are not the brightest and best, quite the opposite. Most are abject failures in our society, that have turned to politics to ply their influence for their own benefit, almost nothing more. The current political climate has EXPOSED ALMOST ALL OF THESE FAILURES… and I assure you, they are not happy about this.

Have fun people, I am one of the brightest and best… I will be fine, but I am not sure about you.

Yogurt….. 100% true and easy to verify.
Those were not the only reasons she lost, just a sample of her own self destruction……need more?
Her own daughter told her and her Dad that they were running the Clinton Foundation “Like a couple of hustlers” (hardly an endorsement).

Comey’s reciting an entire laundry list of crimes Hillary committed but then claiming there was no “intent” (as if that was even a factor) and said there should be no charges… yeah, that inspired alot of confidence in the staggering, pay to play, evidence destroying, liar.

Next,
(Except for the two women who Accused Bill Clinton of rape in college before Hillary’s time….)

Hillary’s history of smearing women who alleged Bill Clinton abused or sexually assaulted them didn’t help either…. “Bimbo Explosions” “Sluts & Nuts” ring a bell?
And now she says “Women have a right to be believed”
Blatant Hypocrisy coming from Hillary… but nobody noticed that, right?

Not to mention all the people in a position to testify against the Clintons who have committed suicide or got murdered…
around 35 or so.

Would you like to hear more?
There’s alot more!

The edited version or the subpoena version? Believe nothing that comes from the White House.

Let’s start throwing those who refuse subpoenas in jail.

“Let’s start throwing those who refuse subpoenas in jail.”

OK. How far back do you want to go? Should we start with Lois Lerner or Eric Holder? How about Brian Pagliano?

Trump’s last days are numbered and you trumpers can’t stand it! all those investigations into Hillary turned up NOTHING….and she showed up when asked to testify….Trumps underlings did not have the guts!

3 years of investigating Trump has found no crimes and lefties can’t stand it.
I welcome the impeachment inquiry, it exposes the Democrats as zealots & fools.
Everyone knows there was never any actual investigation of Hillary during the Obama administration.
It was already exposed that Comey wrote her exoneration before she’d ever even been questioned.
Corrupt FBI betrayed the trust of the American people, broke their solemn oath to duty and deliberately let crimes go unpunished .
They broke the law themselves, supplied fake evidence to secure warrants to spy on the Trump campaign and lied to obstruct justice.

“25 Top FBI, DOJ Officials Have Been Recently Fired, Demoted, or Resigned”
“The once-respected Federal Bureau of Investigation was compromised by politically motivated insiders, including James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Strzok, and many others. As more evidence of corruption comes to light, their schemes have rapidly begun to unravel. Such schemes included the exoneration of Hillary Clinton for her illegal email practices, the stonewalling of the separate investigation of the Clinton Foundation relating to Uranium One, and the FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) investigation of Trump associates that’s known as “Spygate.”

This stuff is old news & you people are just in denial.
Do note that all this is being investigated NOW by officials who will faithfully carry out their duty.
Nobody is above the law… not even Hillary Clinton.

Pretty much anything Trump decides to do he succeeds. He was being nice to all in the swamp that needed to go down, but now that they are messing with him.all bets are off and this is the end for what’s left of the infighting liberals.odds are 1000 to one he can’t lose, but liberals, don’t place any bets, you still haven’t paid from the last election.it “wasn’t fair” apparently.
I knew they would cry for a month after the election, but 2 1/2 years? They just can’t face reality without medication.

So what has Congress managed to do this year, other than harass the POTUS?
