Despite safer vehicles, better roads, and countless driving programs, the numbers of young drivers who have lost their lives due to traffic collisions have remained fairly constant for more than a decade.
However, these deaths and injuries can be substantially reduced by eliminating high-risk behaviors.
Start Smart is a FREE two hour highly impactful interactive traffic safety class designed for drivers or soon to be drivers 15 to 19 years of age and their parents.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ:
- At least one parent or legal guardian must attend with the teen.
- Each person attending will need an admission ticket (including parent/guardian). Please select “2” when signing-up, and sign-up using student’s name.
The event will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. – Monte Vista High School, 3131 Stone Valley Rd. in Danville.

Thank you!!!
Parking classes and how to park and behave in parking lots would be great too !
Yay. Will this workshop counts towards the behind the scene requirement needed for DMV. Why in Danville area and not in the Concord area?
Why not?
This will be like learning stuff in school for a year, and then forgetting most of it during the summer. Too many “students” will forget what they were taught and end up with driving problems. A better method would be to require them to do a ride along with the CHP and see horrific accidents up close.
More!!!!
Great idea. Now make all the new drivers and people who act like new drivers attend
This event is sold out according to the website.
Could you possibly have more of these ?
