A bobcat was spotted in the backyard of a home on Wawona Lane (Oakhurst) in Clayton on Saturday evening.
If you’re in the area, you might want to keep small pets and children inside, or at least keep a close eye on them.
Thanks to Steve for the pictures.
neat pictures
Really precious. Thanks for the beautiful pics, and the very good advice. 🙂
Great photos. What sort of camera did you use, Steve?
being a random sighting, I’ll almost bet that he had a cell phone in his hand; some take rally good pictures… Either way; yep…. good pictures.
I used my Canon EOS Rebel T6. It just happened to be on the kitchen table with the telephoto lense when I spotted the bobcat.
Thanks, I wondered how got in so close with your shot without scaring the cat. Very nice.
I appreciate this fabulous photo of this magnificent animal. Bobcats are so stout and strong. Thank you.
Here kitty, kitty, kitty
Or a little pocket Dog..Yap Yap Yap
That bobcat is not as healthy looking as he was yesterday. Maybe a close encounter with a BART train?
Bart is nowhere near this open space. If it’s the same one that visited last night, it caught a rat.
Take another look at the pics.
Lots of Rats around Bart. Got your back RunnerDope
I submitted the photos. I live nowhere near BART. I live next to open space in Clayton. Besides the bobcat, over the years I’ve seen a fox, a four foot long snake, baby rattle snakes, coyotes, and various other common wild animals, all several feet from my house.
❤🐱❤🐱❤🐱 I love seeing the wild strive
Beautiful 💕thank you
What a beautiful bobcat! It is much heavier (thicker through the middle) than the one which visited my yard awhile back. Wonder whether it is a female expecting a litter? If so, she’ll suddenly look thin one of these days, and it would be especially nice of you to put out pans of water for her… at least for a couple of months while she is nursing. Please keep us posted!
Awesome pics of this gorgeous animal. Thanks for sharing.
Hope he lives forever
Bobcat is spotted .. close up picture proves it.
From a distance tho, they look striped.
This is probably the same Bobcat that travels back and forth on Keller Ridge.
A neighbor has posted numerous photos from her security cam on her back fence that leads up the actual hillside of the ridge.
That might be the same one who has been sighted a couple times in the area, there are a few, one that visits Dana Hills area as well.
