No major injuries were reported in a vehicle collision on Pacheco Blvd. in Pacheco this afternoon.
The crash occurred just after 1 p.m. near Center Ave.
A tire came off the vehicle before the crash, according to the CHP.
Thanks to “J” for the information and the photo from the scene.
UPDATE: The victim’s mother provided more information on the collision, which was not a single-vehicle collision.
“You described this as a “single” vehicle accident and stated that the 4Runner’s “tire fell off before the crash”. These are both incorrect statements.
My daughter and my granddaughter were driving in the Toyota 4-Runner. As they drove down Pacheco Blvd. another car driving in the opposite direction, facing them, attempted to make a Uturn right in front of them. My daughter blasted her horn and tried to avoid being hit but the other driver crashed right into my daughter’s car, causing my daughter’s 4Runner to hit the curb and roll on it’s side 3 times until it rested on its back.
The 4-Runner was completely totalled and it was a miracle that the girls weren’t seriously injured or killed. My granddaughter was able to be pried out of the passenger door by a passer-by and my daughter, who was driving, was able to crawl out of the back window.
Both girls were immediately taken by ambulance to Kaiser in Walnut Creek to be treated for their injuries.
(The Face Sheet of the Sheriff’s report clearly mentions both cars and states that the other driver, who was driving on a suspended license, was at fault)”
