Use caution if you’re in the area of Clayton Rd. and Thornwood Dr. in Concord.
A vehicle got stuck on the center divide this afternoon after apparently attempting to make a u-turn at Thornwood Dr., near McDonald’s.
A tow truck is on its way to the scene to clear the vehicle from the roadway.

In the old days cars were lighter, and with manual steering easier to push. People were sometimes willing to help.
Old days maybe 90 years ago, cars from the 30’s to the 80’s were far heavier. Newer cars like this one are easier to push than any older car unless you go back to the Model A.
Cars used to be higher off the ground too with running boards to help step into them. Bet they didn’t know they had a low rider.

The tow truck drivers were able to move the car a bit to where the driver was able to drive it off the median. The driver was an older lady.
I drove a Toyota Camry rental a couple of years ago and had to be careful around curbs and stop blocks.
HAHA.
Time to give up the keys!

Her family or the DMV should contact her doctor and verify whether she should continue to drive. She is a danger to herself and to the rest of the community sorry to say.
Some drivers occasionally make bad judgements regarding time or distance. This one just happened to make it onto Claycord.com.
