Copter overhead, heard what sounded like gunshots at around 7PM, not sure if related.
Thank you for the info as always, Claycord.

Michael July 29, 2019 - 9:26 PM - 9:26 PM

I hope they can resolve it peacefully before the helicopter runs out of gas. Seriously though, if the suspect is inside a home and they are negotiating why the need for a helicopter.

Chester July 29, 2019 - 9:28 PM - 9:28 PM

We knew something was up with the helicopter going round and round. I knew we could count on Claycord to have up-to-the-minute news.

Patty July 29, 2019 - 9:34 PM - 9:34 PM

I was never told to shelter in place..just saying

TPC July 29, 2019 - 9:41 PM - 9:41 PM

Nor was I, Patty, but if a copter circles around my head for that long my doors and getting closed and locked.

Mount Mom July 29, 2019 - 9:43 PM - 9:43 PM

Me either! I’m only about 4 houses away. It’s cool always so quiet around here.

Adi July 29, 2019 - 9:44 PM - 9:44 PM

I knew the helicopters were circling around for a reason! Thanks for the update claycord!

Instruct him to take his likely legally obtained firemarm, unload it, and lock it in his gun safe for proper storage. Then invite him to sit down and “rap” with a psychology professional. There is an answer in there somewhere.

Thank you for the info, the helicopter is so low over our house on Ridge Dr. Hope the standoff ends soon with good results. Very loud up here.

Meme July 29, 2019 - 9:51 PM - 9:51 PM

My parents live in the mobile home park. One of them is stuck inside their home and the other is stuck out on San Miguel trying to get in. I hope this gets resolved ASAP.

Pam July 29, 2019 - 9:51 PM - 9:51 PM

The ambulance that has been waiting in my court for word from the police left our court about 10 minutes ago. Maybe it’s over

Kristen July 30, 2019 - 9:19 AM - 9:19 AM

I live in the park myself and another resident was out doing some things came back to finding we could not enter the area that we live because of this incident. I know people say a lot of things about police officers but I have to say that they were looking out for our interest. Thank you Concord Police Department for everything you did keeping the residence in the area safe. The story about the helicopter the one that flew away they had to go refuel and come back. They were up in the sky for our protection. This is too scary having it directly in my neighborhood what maybe seven houses away from me it’s crazy but again thank you for getting this resolved without more gun fire

Mount Mom July 30, 2019 - 10:08 AM - 10:08 AM

Thank you Kristen! Yes, I was worried about my husband being able to get home but I knew CPD would get the job done right. I just purchased my property and haven’t seen or heard police activity in here until last night. I used to live by N. Concord BART and I had to call CPD several times for accidents and car chases but they have always given me an outstanding response! It costs more to live in Concord than some surrounding cities but CPD is a huge reason we repurchased in Concord.

Briannvolcano July 30, 2019 - 9:45 AM - 9:45 AM

I lived in that park for two years Dan the manager does an excellent job, running the park. Antiochmom glad you moved to Antioch, Antioch needs more people like you.

Mount Mom July 30, 2019 - 10:11 AM - 10:11 AM

Dan is an excellent manager! We knew once we met with him that we wanted to purchase in this park.
