I have not been there.
I had enough cafeteria-style food while in the Military.
I appreciate that Golden Corral offers free meals to veterans on Veterans Day, but no thank you. I’m done with the chow line, too.
Would make a great Olive Garden
I haven’t been there, but i have driven past it. With a name like golden corral, i suspect they might serve food in a horse trough. I vote Nay.
No, nope, NO
1 – yes – once not long after they reopened with lots of bragging ads on TV.
2 – No, nothing like the ads on TV. Went for lunch and it seemed like leftovers for the most part.
3 – No – overly expensive even for an “all you can eat” place.
You didn’t ask about service and there wasn’t much of that either.
Nope, never been there, and never will. I rarely go to a chain restaurant, I have too much respect for my stomach. It’s amazing how much of the food comes from a factory already precooked, or worse yet, out of a can. I’m more into small family owned restaurants, where the food is prepared with fresh ingredients.
So that will be a big NAY!
Love it.
That place has been a Buffett style restaurant for as long as I can remember . Same stuff different name. Close it down build a steak house.
Went there once, food was ok. But I’ve stayed away after all those fights they kept having there.
Golden Corral – I vote neigh.
I have been there
I go about once every 18 months usually with my son after a hard day work and I want variety and I dont want yo cook or clean.
Everytime I go, I get reminded why I only go every 18 months.
It is meh…. nothing special..
The baked chicken is ok.
The grilled pork steaks are ok
Meatloaf ok
Nothing makes me say I need to come more often
I haven’t been to one in Concord but over a decade ago went with relatives to the one in Casa Grande, AZ. Interesting selection of food and the place was packed on a Saturday night. Buffets are my downfall so I best stay away but was a fan on The Wall in Concord.
What was the restaurant that was there before GC? Was a buffet place wasn’t it. I always wanted to try it but my wife wasn’t going for it.
I think it was Hometown Buffet.
We looked forward to going when they first opened. So disappointing. The food was poorly made and much of it was picked over, not replenished and not labeled as to what it was. We didn’t like having to pour our own drinks while standing in line before even paying. The prices were much too high. I don’t mind cafeteria style but not at premium prices.
Give that space to Chick-filet and make Claim Jumper a Texas Roadhouse! It’s got all the vibe for a Texas Roadhouse!!!
I go there in my cargo pants and line my pockets with zip locks . One trip and I’m good for the week for meals.
Went with my husband, he was sick for three day’s after out visit. Guess what my vote is??
I haven’t been there but am wondering why you are singling out a local business. It seems a negative move. Are they under investigation for poisoning diners? Are they not paying wages? Are they doing something else wrong?
No it’s just gross.
By looking at their yelp reviews I think I’ll pass.
Yes.
.
It was …. good.
.
Avoid/minimize the high carb foods and starchy fillers like pastas, breads, and potatoes.
.
I delighted my palette with a variety of meat and seafood courses, and desserts.

Golden Corral – Yea or Nay? YEA!
Bring Sweet Tomatoes baacckk!!!
Isn’t that the place that periodically has a family to family brawl?
No thanks.
No, haven’t been there. I just don’t care for buffets.
Blech….
Save up your pennies and the next time your in Tahoe hit the nice buffet on the top floor of Harrah’s (great view of the lake & mountains) or one of the nice buffets in Reno (Atlantis, GSR, Silver Legacy). All of them have one of the house master chefs running the show and it’s apparent by the type, quality and presentation of the food
Anyone rememeber the old Smorgy Boy in Park & Shop? When I was a kid we would go once in a while until my dad got the contract to replace flooring in all their bay area locations. Won’t tell you what he found pulling up the kitchen floor, but we never went back
Yes been there and yes liked it have had no problems
