A sign on the door announced the closure.

This was the last Quiznos in central Contra Costa County.

those horrible 2004 commercials did themselves in long ago on TV with that weird ugly rat thing… lol

You’re right about the commercial.
What were they thinking!

Sad news for some local business owner, but I can’t remember the last time anyone I know ate a sandwich from Quizno’s (any location)…

I went to the one in Pittsburg about a month ago and it was like $13 for a regular sub, chips, and a drink. I will never go back. So not surprised.

Tell me where your getting the same sandwich, chips and a drink from another chain for under $10 that’s not some special deal..

Why bother when for the same price you can go to Ike’s, Mr. Pickles, or Genova?

So sorry to read this. I would go up there about once a month for a couple of sandwiches for my husband and I. Loved talking to Jerry when I went in. Jerry, I will miss you and our sandwiches. Thank you. Good luck.

I’m proud to say I’ve never eaten there.

I used to frequent a Quiznos when I worked near one. Their Half Salad and Cup of Soup was a pretty filling meal and both were excellent. Don’t think I liked the sandwiches much through. Recently, the wife and I wanted salads for dinner. I was going to order form the Quiznos I thought was behind the BofA main branch, but found it was no longer there. I guess it has been a long time since I wanted Quiznos, so not a big loss to me.

The toasted 4 inch french dip sandwich with cheese and onions will certainly be missed! I went there at least once a week for years. The yogurt shop next door recently closed, as well.

Pretty mediocre at best. I’m surprised it has lasted so long.

A few years back a friend and I looked at a Quiznos franchise. The associated costs were ridiculous. Not just the upfront but the ongoing operation costs. We could see why franchisees were walking away.

Wow! So bad that we lost another business. I miss Home Buffet, Marie Calendars, Chili’s in WC, Lark Creek Inn, Carrows, Hungry Hunter, Top Dog,
and many more oh Lyon’s. Just sickening.

What’s next for that Citrus center? Tutti’s gone too. Really it should all be mowed down to build housing.

That one at Oak Grove and Ygnacio was the one that finally mane me throw up my hands and scream “NO MORE!”

No meat, crap veggies, all made with a frown as slow as possible.

Then they had the audacity to charge like $6.50 for a small sandwich with 3 slices of meat.

I NEVER went back to a Quiznos. Glad they’re gone.

Too many owners and too many changes made this chain go down hill quickly, plus the competition followed and offered toasting of their sandwiches, which was pretty much their claim to fame.

When this chain originally started, they were pretty good and they had a bunch of offerings. I used to like their soup and polenta bread

i stopped when their $5 special was because they cut the meat portioning.
until then, i was relatively satisfied.
kinda like the cheesesteak shop now. used to be beefy n full. now it’s
“meh”
