Who remembers ‘The Happy Steak’? It was located at 1450 Monument Blvd. in Concord. They also had a location inside the County East mall in Antioch.

I knew the Wiz would chime when I made this comment… Red Vest was great too…

remembering a Value Giant and Jerry Lewis Movie Theater????

Went to both…saw my first Rachael Welch movie as a teen there…it was a turning point in my life. Don’t forget Phillip’s Liquor…great magazine selection

It was a good little steak house, next door to Colchico’s Liquor at 4 Corners.

Good ol’ Dan, pride of Port Chicago and a pretty damn good DE for the Niners.

Reply to S post.

It is now El Rancho Restaurant.

That’s one restaurant that should have stayed. The whole family vibe was great. Food was simple and delicious. Talk about Make America Great Again, Happy Steak comes to mind.

There was a Happy Steak on Clayton Rd where IHOP is now.

I do remember Mr.Steak where Polo Loco is now on Clayton Rd.My best friend was a cook there it was a good restaurant.
