Motorist Killed After Vehicle Crashes Into Wall On Tuesday In Martinez

A motorist died after crashing into a wall in Martinez on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
The Martinez Police Department said that around 2:20 p.m., they were alerted to several calls regarding a solo vehicle collision into a retaining wall near the 100 block of Fig Tree Lane. Upon arrival in the area, responding officers found a driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, suffering from severe injuries.
The motorist was given initial medical treatment but was pronounced dead at the scene later.
Police said they are investigating if drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
