The following is from the Walnut Creek Police Department:
On Wednesday, April 16, at approximately 11:45 a.m., the Walnut Creek Police Department responded to the report of an attempted robbery on the 3300 block of Arbolado Drive. Responding officers arrived on scene and determined the suspects, and the suspect vehicle, had already fled the area.
The victim of the attempted robbery sustained minor injuries when the suspects assaulted him in an attempt to steal his personal property. The suspects were not previously known to the victim, and it appears to be a crime of opportunity. No weapons were displayed or mentioned during the assault.
Walnut Creek Police Department Officers and Detectives are currently following potential investigative leads to identify and apprehend the outstanding suspects. The suspects were two young adult males with dark complexions wearing dark clothing and driving a dark sedan.

Walnut Creek jumped the shark back when they tacitly approved the downtown looting.
Running cover for criminals, regardless of level of darkness, is itself criminal.
I really hope that’s not the case.

Walnut Creek police are looking for two men who allegedly attempted to rob a person on Arbolado Drive this morning.
The strong-arm robbery attempt was reported at 11:44am. An ambulance was summoned for the victim, who was pushed to the ground by the would-be thieves, but the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
Police are looking for two black men in ski masks who fled the area in a black Infiniti immediately after the robbery – colliding with another vehicle in their haste to get away. No one was believed to have been injured in that crash.
So….. “Dark” is the new word for black?
I thought “Negro” was changed to “Colored” and that was changed to “African American” & then that got changed to “Black” I thought we all agreed on Black & that’s where it would stay but now the W,C. Police are saying “Dark”?
