The following is from the Concord Police Department:
Our officers were already nearby working the area when they were flagged down by a store employee about a shoplifter at a local drugstore. Store employees tried to stop the man, but he pulled out a box cutter and threatened them. Officers responded right away, and placed him under arrest. He was taken to county jail. Thankfully, no one was hurt and the situation was handled quickly thanks to solid teamwork and timing.
