I don’t, but my Hubby goes to the Bonfaire Market for his Lotto Tickets.
It’s a 2-minute walk. Also, the The Corner Kitchen, … YUM! on their salads too. 🙂

Roz, my friend lived on the corner Clayton Way and Queens, I often visited, he was a platonic friend, but we spend a lot of time together, I would often spend the weekend or Holidays there, and I did they cooking, sometimes I would run out of stuff and make a dash to Bonfaire Market. So, over the years I have gone there a lot. The last few months of my friend’s life, I lived there, did shopping and cooking, and went to Bonfaire often, sometimes their gas is cheaper than Arco’s. Yes, I buy scratches ticket there and often win a modest amount $10.00 or more. Other than than if I need a soda or water, or a snack when I’m driving I go to 7-11. When I lived on the Peninsula there was a Circle K in Redwood City, where you could make your own ice coffee, add as much cream as you like, some flavoring, and whipped cream, so I stopped there quite often to get my fix of ice coffee.

thousands spent over the years with a few dozen winners, and the winnings spent on more lotto tickets that dont win.I never understood why people do this….

I rarely go into a convenience store unless the gas pump doesn’t give me a receipt.
I get lotto tickets from a machine at the grocery store.
My biggest win was $470 on a Fantasy 5 a few years ago, but I know 2 people who have won millions on the super lotto (2 individuals on 2 different drawings).
But the proper mindset is don’t “expect” to win, the money is supposed to be helping the schools and only spend $1 here and there…. if you blow more than $5 a week or start taking it seriously you’d better stop.
It isn’t a matter of odds, it is only pure luck… but try telling someone who won millions of $$$$$$$$ that they were stupid.

No, what would I buy there? I do all my grocery shopping once a month and get everything I
need all at one time. That way I’m all set, and I won’t need anything for another month. I stick stuff in the freezer and take out what I need as I need it. Milk and bread freezes nicely. The
last time I was in a convenience store was about 13 years ago.

Yes, I found out about it some years ago when a friend who was a cook in the Navy told
me freezing milk was how they keep it fresh onboard ships.

nice story,,but thats all it is.

You cant.

Dawg, I guess you don’t do much long -distance driving? When I drive to Clear Lake, Tahoe, or Los Angeles, convenience stores is the quickest way to grab a soda, coffee, an ice-cream, and on long drives to LA often a sandwich. Driving on 5 to LA there are several, not all the same, some actually have pretty good sandwiches, I have a couple of good ones, so I stick to them.

Hanne, on short drives to places like Tahoe or Reno I usually drive nonstop and eat
when I get there. If I get hungry while I’m on a long distance drive, I will stop to eat
at a restaurant.

I see, we all operate in different ways, usually when I’m going those places I want to get there as fast as possible. When I was married in lived in Marinwood, we would often go to Tahoe, and 2 other couples joined us, they lived on the Peninsula, we would meet at the Nut Tree in Vacaville and had a nice meal, that was a special place. When I drive long distances, especially to LA I do take a cooler with me in the car, with water, fruit and a snack, in the summer when it is hot, I have to stop somewhere on I5 to get ice, so again a convenience store is perfect. Where I grew up in Denmark with didn’t have such a things as a 7-11, but we had a “general store”.

same with cheese,you ruin it

On submarines, we only went to sea with milk that was already in the dispense, due to storage limitations. Once the real milk was gone, we switched to powdered milk that was used for cereal or people that needed it for coffee. But at the end of patrol, the tug that brought the pilot aboard also brought mail, oranges, and fresh milk.

When milk or cheese freezes accidently in my fridge it has to be thrown out.the cheese freeze dries and crumbles, the milk stays chunky after thawed. Also you ruin the bread..again,freeeze dried and crumbly, but nice story of ‘beating the system” that is rather dubious .

I keep crumbled blue cheese in the freezer so it doesn’t go fuzzy.
It works for me.

Usually 7-11 on denkinger for a gatorade or some sort of juice drink. I dont drink alcohol i seen that ruin too many peoples lives.
but i really dont buy much at 7-11.

Theres a 7-11 on Denkinger? There is NO 7-11 on Denkinger!!.Clayton rd Mohr ln Monument blvd. What city are you talking about?

im wondering how you buy anything from a store that doesnt exist….

The ones around here are all creepy and get robbed. So… I guess the one by the brunch place by BART since it’s surrounded by places that shoo away the homeless.

None – they are all overpriced …

My pantry, it’s actually “convenient”.😎

The garden and Costco.

My favourite was Jug Shop in the Melo’s shopping centre.
The proprietor was a perfect Apu in every way, except he was ultra-smart and a man of great dignity.

Sheetz. There are none in California; most are in Pennsylvania. Cool thing is that you can order food from a touch screen at the gas pump, then go inside and pick up your food at the food counter when you are done filling your tank. Good burgers, dogs, sandwiches. Nothing like it I have seen anywhere else.

A lot would have to go wrong in my life to have
a favorite convenience store.
