On Monday, March 10 at about 2:30pm a Clayton Police motorcycle officer was attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a subject riding an eBike and a subject on a small gas motorcycle as they rode into the corral area, near Marsh Creek Rd and Main St. in downtown Clayton. The officer was traveling at low speed when the motorcycle lost traction causing the officer to lose control and overturn, according to Sgt. Jason Shaw. The officer sustained minor injuries, was treated and released and is expected to make a full recovery.

The suspects who fled the traffic stop were not captured. If anyone has any information, please contact the Clayton Police Department.
