Boycotts aren’t illegal. Protests aren’t illegal. CNN and MSNBC aren’t illegal.
Trump is attacking the very foundations of our First Amendment rights by classifying them as illegal. This is the justification for what’s next.

32
76

You mean continued failure and humiliation of what left of the house of card o democrats.?.Sounds justified alright.

13
40

@Concordejet
You’ve relayed your opinion, as everyone is entitled to their opinions, even Trump. And you’re calling this “the justification for what’s next”. Do you mean free speech?

41
7

Concordejet…Concordejet…. wake up!
You’re dreaming, you’re having a dumb dream.
Wake up! It’s not real…..It’s just a really, really dumb dream.

29
31

Oh that nothing all you did is make me laugh haha

3
33

Glad you have a sense of humor.
You’ll wake up on your own eventually…..sadly some live their entire lives as liberals but they always have an epiphany soon before the very end.
I can’t count how many times I’ve walked past the Intensive Care Unit and heard some aged poor soul exclaim “Rush Was Right!”

24
19

The dim ones think that the first amendment gives anyone and everyone the right to say anything anywhere at any time, with no consequences whatsoever.

10
28

That’s what Claycord is for.

10
10

Pretty much it does for anyone who is on US soil. If you are under the jurisdiction of the US, all the constitutional rights apply to you (free speech, due process for criminal charges, etc.).

13
2

Check my recent response to Black Knight. There are common sense exceptions.

1
4

Cautiously Informed,
.
According to the U.S. Supreme Court, the “dim ones” do have First Amendment rights under the U.S. Constitution. The Supreme Court has extended these rights to legal and illegal aliens because the Constitution often refers to “people” or “persons,” and not “citizens.” They have the same limits on the First Amendment as citizens do, which means that they don’t have “the right to say anything anywhere at any time, with no consequences whatsoever.”
.
The Second Amendment applies to citizens and resident aliens, but not to other legal aliens who aren’t resident aliens or illegal aliens.
.
Limits on other rights under the Constitution also apply to illegal aliens and other classes of legal aliens, who aren’t resident aliens, in some scenarios, but for the most part all legal and illegal aliens share many, if not most of the rights as U.S. citizens do.
.
It seems as though you were referring to the pro-Palestinian protesters who were recently arrested, one here on a student visa and one here as a resident alien. It’ll likely come down to the determination of their speech and activities being “threats” or not. Not if Jewish students “felt threatened,” but were Jewish students “actually threatened,” “physically prevented from freely traveling on campus,” and/or were they victims of “physical attacks,” and the type of conduct those here with a student visa and a resident alien “green card,” which is now a “pink card,” are required to abide by while in the United States.

13

Main precedent set by Bridges v. California (free speech restricted only if shown to be “clear & present danger” re extreme serious risk) & Bridges v. Wixson (deportation re resident aliens in US requires following due process).

Both cases are old so no excuses about Obama or Trump appointments, etc.

Both cases emphasize the need to respect civil rights and assumed innocence before being proved guilty. No one is safe in a system where the government can just say you did something so you are guilty without proof of the accuracy of the claims.

The government has not identified the people deported to El Salvador or provided evidence they are gang members. Trump used the statement they are gang members to justify declaring the US is in a state of war without needing Congressional vote on actually being at war. Some may be gang members and some may be here illegally, justifying deportation. But we should not accept government snatching you off the street and locking you up without proof or legal due process. Nor should we accept a run around of Congress and the war powers – which has been done by many presidents & allowed by a corrupt Congress and is part of the reason the military budget has a lot of money laundering fraud going on.

The US is paying $6M to El Salvador to jail the alleged gang members for one year – so no DOGE bragging about all the money we are saving.

11
3

Hope Johnson,
.
I don’t necessarily disagree with anything you said.
.
I thought different laws applied depending where illegal aliens are apprehended, if they’re apprehended within 100 miles of a land or water border of the United States and have been in the United States for 24 months (it might be 36 or 60 months, I can’t remember) or less, they’re then eligible for an expedited removal process. I also thought the federal government isn’t reqiired to provide attorneys to those illegal aliens facing deportation unless they’ve been charged with a felony. Almost 70% of the population of the United States lives within 100 miles of a land or water border of the U.S., which includes the entire states of Florida, New Jersey, Delaware, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, Michigan and Hawaii.
.
I’ve complained many times here about the internal border patrol checkpoints located within 100 miles of a land or water border where American citizens are expected to state their citizenship. I hate these checkpoints!
.
I’ve known many people who lived in the U.S. as resident aliens, who have lived in fear of doing something and being deported, which has probably skewed the way I looked at the issue in regards to those here as resident aliens or some other legal status. I even know someone who was here as a resident alien, he got tired of being constantly harassed by the Concord Police Department, so he peeled out on the lawn of the old Concord Police Station and left the United States believing he’d be deported.

11
1

@Hope Johnson
The government said they have been identified, which is the reason they were deported. At least this latest group of alleged gang members can’t allegedly rape anther child.

7
8

My point is that yes, we all have a right to free speech, but not to the extent that it’s a threat to the safety and security of another person. I don’t think that the Supreme Court would stand to protect the right of free speech for someone who yells ‘Bomb!’ On a crowded air plane.

1
5

Cautiously Informed,
.
As long as it’s “actual threats” and not “perceived threats.” That’s probably so, as the airplane is most likely private property and not public property, and unless there was actually “a bomb on a crowded airplane.” It’s the same as people always incorrectly saying “you can’t yell fire in a crowded theater,” which is false, “you can yell fire in a crowded theater, as long as there is a fire in a crowded theater,” when it’s “you can’t falsely yell fire in a crowded theater.” Yet, exceptions may possibly exist in each case, it all comes down to the “intent,” “truthfulness,” and the speech being “a clear and present danger” to those on the plane, in the theater, or general area where the speech took place.
.
The problem we see all to often today, is the high percentage of the American public who believe their “FEELINGS” trump the “RIGHTS” of other Americans. It’s all to common today for many Americans to call the police on other Americans engaging in their First Amendment “RIGHTS” on public property, claiming “harassment” and/or “threats,” where none exist, simply because they just don’t like and/or understand what First Amendment “RIGHTS” they and the American public possess and how those rights work. The number of peace officers who don’t understand this either is absolutely astonishing!

What about Hang Mike Pence?

1
4

What about Kathy Griffin?

What about Hilaria Baldwin?

2
2

Oh no!! What could be next?? DOGE cutting funding for democrat victims coloring books???

32
16

Attacking the propaganda news networks conducting fraud and slander every single hour is not attacking free speech. Those are criminal acts. I’m not sure what the threats mean but believe me you’re not shocking anyone. All democrats do is violence. You can take your color revolution and shove it up your nose. Nobody is scared of civil war with confused men and cat ladies.

17
24

Do you not believe that Fox, OANN are also propaganda machines?

10
14

trying to reciprocate wont work in this case.

2
7

Do you not believe that CNN, MSNBC are also propaganda machines?

10

I do believe they are propaganda machines. I’m not denying it. It’s disappointing that almost all news sources have a slant.

But I fact check.

1
11

FOX… “Fair & Balanced”

4
4

And you believe and spout the progressive liberal media outlets regularly!
Rock On CR!!

7
1

The wokees are neurotic. That’s how they react to everything. I suspect things will start being better come May.

54

Original G,
.
The actions of the Huntington Beach City Council don’t disappoint, again. The City of Huntington Beach has consistently fought the State of California over new laws putting requirements on cities and the loss of local control. It’d be nice to see the Concord City Council do the same.

55
7

… won’t happen ….

14
2

domo,
.
I know, but it’d still be really nice to see it happen at least once. They lack the will to do so.

19

Who has the inside scoop on the FBI raiding home of Mary Jo Rossi?

34
1

Here’s some of it.

I have no idea how you providing a link to answer someone’s question is so polarizing.

Just wanted to say hi to all my Russian supporters

12
51

they are yours for sure…keep wiring them money you steal from SSI from dead relatives.
It in the dem playbook.

7
19

Do your Russian friends send you Vodka and Caviar?
How many Russian do you have? Do you ever visit them?

14

well, one thing demonstrated the last couple decades, crazy maxie is not the brightest bulb in the bunch. Congress will be considerably better when she retires. Loud, crooked and ineffective, in it for the power and coin.

28
3

The last time the Democrats started a Civil War against a Republican administration, it did not wotk out well for them.

25
10

The FBI raided the home of Concord political operative Mary Jo Rossi on Thursday morning.
.

.
.

37

Well now… I don’t care all that much but I find it curious that I posted a link without making any opinionated comment & got 4 “thumbs down” OK…… but then The Black Knight posted the very same link with no opinionated comment as well and he got 8 “thumbs up”.
WTF? I guess I’m just not one of the cool kids.

17
19

Dr. Jellyfinger,
.
I remember, back a few years ago, when Mary Jo Rossi went before the Concord City Council, with her business partners, and told the council that she was out of the “politics business,” because she and her partners were in the retail medical and recreational marijuana business. She and her partners weren’t awarded one of the licenses being offered by the City of Concord, so she must’ve returned to the “business of politics,” after she was unable to convince the Concord City Council to award her and her business partners a license to sell retail medical and recreational marijuana products.
.
It appears she was trying to follow the model set by former Congressman George Miller III, and his son, George Miller IV, when the Martinez City Council awarded them a license to sell retail medical and recreational marijuana products in the City of Martinez.

24
1

From Congressman to drug dealer… a Democrat success story.

14
14

Dr. Jellyfinger,
.
I believe that many of the regulars here receive a “thumbs down” no matter what we post because we’ve angered and/or offended readers in the past, and/or we’re just disliked or hated because of past comments that we’ve posted.

That’s true, I have one of those (and I know who it is) but as I’ve said before, it’s a badge of honor. A liberal disagrees with me? Good! I hope so.

1
2

They have an office in Concord so they didnt have to go far

6
13

California State Assemblyman Rick Chavez Zbur, a Democrat representing Hollywood, has withdrawn his bill, AB1333, which would’ve limited or banned self-defense, if passed.

41
1

Trump should impose 100% or more tariffs on every countries for the White House’s press secretary eloquently said on March 11 that tariffs is a tax cut. With the said tax cut we could afford a Tesla at the White House dealership and thereby supporting the awkward yet fertile Elon musk!

4
38

The left Democrats and puffy crybabies being delusional over returning America back to the better days with none of the Obama/Biden era bullsh** remaining are done with. The better Americans are running things now.

26
15

Nah…. that can’t be it.
It must be because I did not venture any opinion and I always speak my mind.
Failing to do so must have disappointed the 4 downers, so I will bow to pressure and contribute my carefully considered opinion:
*
Ahem!
This questionable Mercury News story in no way involves the Mafia with any of the garbage companies mentioned, nor does it involve any of our beloved politicians in positions of power who are capable of sending persons that deal with those who draw attention to the legally questionable activities of others.
Mary Jo as well, is probably just a victim of FBI guesswork and they got the wrong gal.
This whole story is none of our business.

14
14

COVID HOAX TYRANNY. That’s the post.

6
25

I find it truly amazing the Democrats are finally worried about inflation, when for four years they were telling us that it was not happening or it was only temporary. Prices went up 25% during that time! But now they want to blame it on Trump… they have become desperate! Recent polls show that a supermajority of people are supporting Trump’s efforts in cleaning things up. I think the Democrats don’t want things cleaned up! They’re the party of victimhood and dysfunction.

29
6

What poll supports this claim?

7
23

New CNN poll reports the Democrats have a 29% favorability rating.

17

Doh is back to making up words again.

babble, babble.

11
1

NO !
.
Market corrections are a normal occurrence.
As long as a few other criteria are met or exceeded,
it’s a buying opportunity.

13
1

Actually…. if you look up the word “Cession” it means: “the act of allowing someone else to have or own something”
“Recession” has a completely different meaning: “Recession is a prolonged period of negative economic growth” I think that’s what Doh Doh was going for.
So Doh’s new word if anything, means Trump has something for us (sorry Doh!)
And….
Trump is allowing us to have something, as Lincoln put it “a new birth of freedom…a government of the people, by the people, for the people” It’s about what WE want.
Trump is all about America First & Biden’s DEI based, queer crazy everything, tax everything & regulate everything style of government is no more…. common sense is the new rule.
It’s going to be a rough ride for the purple haired, ultra liberal carsonists (there’s a new word for you) and it will take time to get used to… but 4 years ought to do it & then Vance can take it from there.

3
2

The NPR gal that poked the President with a boom mic appears to have spent a lot of time on the receiving end prior.
It’s a good thing she didn’t attempt the same stunt with Biden as he would have mistaken it for an ice cream cone.

12
4

Arrest Fauci. That’s the post

8
11

Charles Calvin Rogers was awarded the medal of honor by President Nixon, for his service in Vietnam, he was wounded 3 times. Now his memorial page has been removed by the current administration, citing DEI. Trump supporters please tell how this is fair! Is Hegseth and Trump saying because he was black he did not act as a hero. I assume those on this site who served in Vietnam or were in the service does not approve of this. It seems like the administration is claiming no one of color cannot be a hero!

5
20

Hanne,
To answer your questions:

  1. Not fair if done for DEI purposes. Cowards only come in yellow, while heroes come in all colors.
  2. No, Pete and Don are not saying because he was black, Blah, Blah, Blah. Probably some tweaking is needed for the algo. It will get corrected soon.
  3. I can’t speak for all Vets, but I do not approve. Especially if done purposefully. Sec Hegseth, fix this!
  4. “It seems lke the admin is claiming no one of color can (my correction) be a hero!”. That’s what the whiney media wants the sheep to believe. Making a mountain out of a molehill.

This mistake will get rectified soon and the non-believers will move on to their next “outrage”. It’s the same playbook they used from ’16’-’20. Keep on throwing crap at the wall to see what sticks.

15
3

@Hanne
That has apparently been corrected. But it won’t be the last mistake they make. They admitted there will be mistakes and also said they’ll fix them. You know, its only been a couple of months and they have accomplished so much. You don’t seem to put much focus on that though, for being middle of the road and everything.

19
3

This whole embarassing episode was committed by a deranged liberal trying to sabotage the administration.

12
3

wtf? Hanne, get a grip on yourself ! This had been restored within 48 hours of it being deleted! Now look at the explanation by several sources as to what happened!!!!!! Nothing like waiting to see the cause – but like any good liberal, you jump right in and start throwing around accusations.

Take your damn fake outrage elsewhere, and don’t bother claiming you’re middle of the road.

10

Hanne Jeppesen,
.
You answered your own question in your last sentence where you stated “It seems like,” you stated something that was nothing but your subjective opinion and not grounded in reality.

Newsom’s Podcast isn’t going so well.
Having Steve Bannon as a guest really upset his constituents.

Last week, Gavin asked for $3 Billion to keep MediCal solvent. Now he is asking for another $2.8 Billion. This problem is caused by our prescient politicians opening up MediCal to illegal aliens. Like locusts in a field, these illegals have gobbled up all of the available funds. This imperils our legal poor because now there is no $ to pay medical service providers to the indigent.
Last week it was $3Bil. This week it is another $2.8 Bil. How much will we siphon from other needed programs to pay for illegals’ healthcare? How much more will we steal from our kids’ future to pay for illegals? Why do illegals get preferential treatment over legal citizens and taxpayers?
Sadly, those who downvote posts like this continue to slit their own throat by shoveling their tax payments to people who should not be here.
Keep voting blue if you like potholes, crowded classrooms, and raging wild fires because there is no money left address these issues.

Democrats aren’t condemning these actions either!
