On Thursday, March 27, the Concord Police Department will be hosting a community meeting to discuss AB 481: Military Equipment: Funding, Acquisition and Use. The meeting will be in in-person at the Concord Police Department in the Community Room, located at 1350 Galindo Street, and will start at 5pm. They will be there to answer your questions, show some of the equipment that falls under this law, and explain how it is used to make the community safer for everyone.
Unless they’re buying an Abrams or a A-10 I’m not too worried
This used to bug me more than it does now.
To ask police officers to deal with and increasingly armed
and irrational populace with night sticks
and .38 cal revolvers seems shortsighted.
Hopefully a middle ground can be negotiated.
Good for the Police.
Give them whatever equipment they want.
CPD is the best.
