Californians are experiencing an average gas price of $4.66, a $.13 cent decrease from last week. Thanks in part to lower oil prices, the national average for a gallon of gas dropped five cents from last week to $3.07, which is $.31 lower than this time last year.
Drivers could see fluctuations at the pump due to markets and retailers reacting to the news of tariffs, and the higher cost of producing summer-grade gasoline.
According to new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), gasoline demand increased from 8.45 b/d last week to 8.87. Total domestic gasoline supply decreased from 248.3 million barrels to 246.8. Gasoline production increased last week, averaging 9.6 million barrels per day.

Yay 😀! Gas price is down. Egg price is also down. And best of all, the stock market is down so the stocks are affordable due to kind hearted economy crash. Thank you president trump!
It is inevitable that the economy will crash. The standard of living in this country has been unreal, about 3 times it should be. I see some here don’t like the idea but I have to write that off that they don’t understand economics very well. It just couldn’t keep going the way it was.
You forgot to thank Joe Biden, the one responsible for astronomically high gas prices.
Democrat supporters will say this is a result of Biden’s infrastructure bill and other things he did.. Republican supports will say this is a result of Trump’s influence. Media outlets supporting either side will start talking points about how their side lowered the prices. Always a circus, always expected. Next up, Crime statistics, food prices, job numbers…..
California is still paying a lot more for gas than anywhere else in the country due to having special requirements for their gasoline as well as all the fees and taxes imposed by the state.
