A series of rain storms starts to impact the Bay Area and Central Coast later tonight with the most intense rain expected through the day on Wednesday. Expected rainfall totals are 0.5 to 2 inches across the region and up to 4 inches along the coastal ranges. In addition, snow is possible in the higher elevations above 3,000 feet. Additional rain chances are expected to arrive Friday into the upcoming weekend.
