During a speed enforcement stop on hwy.4 in Concord, CHP Officers from the Contra Costa area observed large quantities of marijuana located within the stopped vehicle. After further investigation, it was determined over 125 pounds of marijuana was seized from the vehicle. Both the driver and the passenger were arrested for possession charges.
Possession charges?
What about intent to distribute?
Were they home in time for dinner?
Nice to see that the perps were arrested and not just cited and released.
I have a Nephew who’s an officer in Sacto. He’s found meth, weed, fentanyl, heroin, crack/coke, etc. He tells me that in every case, the possessor of these drugs was cited (a ticket) and released with the drugs being confiscated. They are releasing criminals who possess hard and dangerous drugs!
The next time you hear that “crime is down”, ask yourself is it really down or do our overlords just not want to be bothered with “petty” crimes like fentanyl or meth possession? Criminals will keep on criminalizing if there is no penalty for their crimes.
It depends on the quantity found.
What amount of fentanyl, heroin, or crack is acceptable? Possession of any is a felony.
How about 600 lbs of weed? A police buddy of his near Auburn found 600 lbs of weed in the back of a van. It took 3 police Broncos to haul it off. The drugs were confiscated, the driver was cited and released.
So what is the magic number?

The first rule of Crime Club is “Follow all of the rules of the road”.
This includes things like, Don’t speed, Don’t run stop signs, make sure your lights are working, and use blinkers.
Maybe they can get a refresher course at the hoosgow.
Advice for Drug Dealers: When transporting huge amounts of drugs, don’t drive like a jackass.

Lots and Lots of “Grow Houses” in East County. My source: Good friend is a PG&E employee that has been called out to Customers’ homes after Electric Meter has burned up or exploded! Most tenant’s at these houses are Asian.

I no longer consider weed a dangerous drug. Alcohol, meth snd fentanyl are society’s real problem. Let people who want to smoke smoke. FYI—I don’t smoke myself but have seen the damage alcoholics and drug addicts bring upon their families and society. Have you ever seen a smoker be violent?

Smoking anything endangers your health.
Taxes and greed keeps the price of “legal” pot too high (no pun intended) so the drug cartels still grow it in N. Calif. for the black market and they still smuggle it into the USA as well…. don’t accidentally hike onto an illegal grow site, you might die.
So if you think your pot smoking hurts nobody consider the people you are supporting who solve problems with bullets and a shallow grave in the boonies.
Some of their other businesses include heroin, fentanyl, human trafficking & auto theft.
But no problem, just get high & you won’t care even if you did before.

125 lbs seems excessive.
Just last week the CHP caught a guy doing over 100mph on 580 near Dublin and had 200lbs of marijuana in the vehicle. They also found $36,000 in cash in the vehicle also.
Let’s face it, doing 100mph anywhere is asking for it! What a dumbsh*t!
The DEA believes there are between 300-400 grow houses in Antioch alone. And yes, the Chinese (FOB) are mostly responsible. If busted, thanks to Newsom & Bonta it’s just a citable offense. They name change and rent out other houses and repeat the process. At least now with Tom Homan in charge of ICE, these illegals will be sent back to China if Becton doesn’t shield them.
