The Concord Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at the S&S convenience store, located at 3200 Willow Pass Road, that resulted in the death of the suspect. The incident occurred just before 11:30 pm last night. Preliminary findings indicate the suspect, armed with a shotgun, entered the store and attempted to force an employee to open the store’s safe. Another store employee, hearing and seeing what was occurring, intervened firing his own weapon, which struck the suspect. The suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene. Detectives are reviewing evidence and the investigation is ongoing. Names are being withheld pending notifications of family. Anyone with information is asked to contact Major Crimes Unit Detective Justin Wilson at (925) 603-5859.

This is so sad! They’re the sweetest people ever. Horrible that stupid lazy bums are always putting people in these situations with no choice but to protect themselves

FAFO is the new motto

Wow, sorry to hear this. The owners of that place are really nice, good people. I’ve been there several times. Glad they were able to defend themselves.

Actually this makes me happy! Since our district attorney and court systems won’t protect the public from these criminals we’re being have to do it ourselves. My only worry is that the DA will probably come down hard on this business owner- to make an example of them…. and make them out to be the bad person. This criminal got what they deserve IMHO. And they won’t be terrorizing others now.

Good for the employee – I’m sure they have a video and hope they don’t hold the employee protecting themselves.

Good Riddance! We will see a lot more of this in the future. The state does not protect us, so we need to protect ourselves. More and more will follow suit!

This time, won’t have to wonder about
plea bargaining and a short sentence.

Civil society collapses when we are unable to defend ourselves.

Another one bites the dust!
