I like Reed’s Ginger Ale. It has a distinct flavor with a spicy kick to it because it’s made with
real fresh ginger and real cane sugar. Most sodas I can tolerate, so I don’t actually hate any
of them, but my least favorites are any soda with artificial flavors.

I stopped drinking pop long ago, in part for weight loss, but mostly to save money (times were financially tight). Back then, my drink of choice was RC Cola or Dad’s Root Beer (a treat, otherwise, A&W). Now the closest to soda I get is the water I use on the Soda Stream. The worst pop to me was Fresca. As a kid, it was awful. Never tried it as an adult.
Occasional Mountain dew, Dr Pepper, or Cherry Coke. And when not feeling well ginger ale is helpful.

Never did develop a taste for root beer.
Used to stock up on cola at 99cent store,
3 liter size, then 2 liter, now something like 1.25 liter.
1.25 isn’t even worth opening.

No longer a soda drinker…but my favorite was coke on the glass bottle with sugar cane in it instead of syrup. Least favorite Dr pepper, to me it tasted like medicine.

A study published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine found that individuals who consumed two or more sugary drinks per day had a 17% higher risk of death compared to those who consumed less than one per month.
Another study shows 100% of people have a risk of death and will eventually die.
Most will have lived and enjoyed life along with a variety of wonderful foods & drink, while others may live their lives without taking any risks or eating anything but bland, healthy foods to ensure their survival for as long as they can.
Which group will live a fuller life? The group that decides to “live” or the group that just chooses to “survive”?
How can consuming just one 12 oz. drink per month lead to any reasonable conclusions on any possible effect it might have had on your health?
That’s guesswork.
I no longer drink soft drinks, diet or otherwise. One exception: When I’m ill a Seven Up or a Sprite works wonders.

Dad’s Root Beer. That brings back great childhood memories.

President Lyndon B. Johnson had a Fresca button on his oval office desk and a Fresca fountain in the White House.
I like Fresca… it tastes like Collins Mix.
