Kibo Sushi, located at 125 Hartz Ave. in Danville, has reopened after a closure due to a cockroach infestation.
Inspectors from the Contra Costa County Environmental Health Department said they found the following:
- 1 live juvenile cockroach underneath 2-door prep cooler across from stove of cook line.
- 1 live juvenile cockroach underneath sink at sushi bar.
- 2 dead cockroaches inside and behind microwave.
- 10+ dead cockroaches at the water heater area.
- 1 live cockroach by 2-door upright cooler. Corrected on site.
- Dead cockroaches on rolling cart next to prep cooler at sushi bar.
- Dead cockroaches behind dish machine.
Not that it was on my list to try – but now know one to avoid
