DIRTY DINING: Kibo Sushi In Danville Reopens After Closure Due To Cockroach Infestation

Kibo Sushi, located at 125 Hartz Ave. in Danville, has reopened after a closure due to a cockroach infestation.

Inspectors from the Contra Costa County Environmental Health Department said they found the following:

  • 1 live juvenile cockroach underneath 2-door prep cooler across from stove of cook line.
  • 1 live juvenile cockroach underneath sink at sushi bar.
  • 2 dead cockroaches inside and behind microwave.
  • 10+ dead cockroaches at the water heater area.
  • 1 live cockroach by 2-door upright cooler. Corrected on site.
  • Dead cockroaches on rolling cart next to prep cooler at sushi bar.
  • Dead cockroaches behind dish machine.
