This video is a good reminder to cover your load, and if you do cover it, make sure it’s completely covered. Highway 4 has enough trash.
For the record, this was a Republic Services truck.

Glad it wasn’t the toilet truck spilling.
Instead of driving behind the truck and risk getting hit by flying trash, why not pull alongside and alert the driver? People that record a mishap, and not doing anything about it, are just as culpable as the person committing of the mishap.
You’re incorrect. I’ve witnessed this happening for ten years – but Nobody cares. PS: It’s not a overloaded truck either. All of these transfer do this.
Oh yes, it is an overloaded commercial vehicle. You cannot overload a vehicle with an uneven weight distribution. In other words, it is filled to the brim.
In reference as well all loads have to be securely “Secured”.
Looks like it was overloaded and overflow was flying from under the cover.
NOT an isolated incident.
Drivers picking up residential recycle material in Clayton . . . .
After emptying tote into hopper on front of truck they’re already accelerating toward next house while lowering tote. Never know how you’ll find tote, will it be upright after it was released while still above the ground. Can sight down street and see totes scattered. Not unusual to find neighbors bills blowing about. Then there’s trucks picking up green waste, not all of it makes it into truck’s front hopper or large hopper it empties into. After trucks have gone by, grab a broom and dust pan, when going to bring totes back in. Have quite a few neighbors in their late 70s and 80s on our street, it’s a struggle for them to get a tote back up on it’s wheels.
This is an almost daily occurrence with all of the trucks transferring material from Martinez to Pittsburg and has been featured here on Claycord before. It’s another well known problem which has occurred for years and remains unfixed.
just adding to the local decor. I trust Governor Grease ball will have it cleaned up in no time (obvious sarcasm) Gas tax went for cocaine and hair gel.
Don’t worry everybody, our CHP is monitoring our highways. This must have occurred outside the 3 day window when they make a resolution to do their job.
If only the semi drivers who do this ALL the time gave a rats *ss and weren’t aware that CHP is no where to be found 362 days out of the year unless you search…idk back office bunks during nap time?? “Amen!” – Internal State Auditors
