I am the best thing that happened to me. As with every year of my life, 2024 has been a
learning experience. I learn from the positive and the negative events that have occurred.
Every year I discover something new that results in a positive change with a better
understanding of myself and the world around me. My perspective on life has significantly
improved with an optimistic outlook.

Nothing too earth shattering happened in 2024, however as always I’m grateful for the time I get to spent with my family (about 3 to 4 times a year) and good friends, that I see on a regular basis. Got a bit of a pay raise, managed to find a good deal on a used Toyota Camry (looks and drive like new) when my other Toyota Camry had enough at almost 200,000 miles. Considering my age, am also grateful that for the most part I’m healthy, have a bit of a back problem off and on, but nothing serious. I’m also grateful that due to the internet so much is available to me within seconds, old movie, all kinds of music that I love, rock (The Band, The Doors many others) jazz, folk and some classical, and of course because of the internet I can reach my friends and family on the East Coast and Europe again within seconds.

Being afforded the opporunity to live my life comfortably and speak my mind openly.
Got a good job, a good dog, and some good friends. Give me a few more minutes and I’ll have a good country song. 😉
Happy New Year, Claycord!

Overall, a good year, not a great year, no significantly great events. Best was the vacation our family took (first one since 2016).

We welcomed our 15th grandchild to our family and found out that number 16 will be arriving in 2025. We stayed healthy and enjoyed a month-long road trip in Europe, mostly in Italy and Switzerland.

My dog died, I got fired, my wife left me, and I’m all out of whiskey –
but I still got my big screen color tv.
That sounds like a country and western song.
Just play it backwards and your dog wakes up, your wife comes back, and your truck starts running again.
I moved out of California.
