If you were out and about this morning, you noticed a large amount of fog in Contra Costa County today. The foggy conditions will decrease throughout the day, but should return by tomorrow morning, so be careful driving.

I like the fog, but I don’t like driving in it. The fog obscures distant views and has a
calming effect. It creates a sense of peacefulness, and surrounds us with a soft
atmosphere.
Growing up in San Francisco, the sound of the fog horns would add to the feeling
of tranquility.
