Several strong earthquakes north of Santa Rosa on the Northern California coast has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a Tsunami warning for areas near the coast.
We do not seem to be in danger in Contra Costa County, but stay away from the coastlines near Richmond and the marina in Martinez.
UPDATE: The tsunami warning has expired.

Got the warning while chatting with my brother, but obviously too far North, as I didn’t feel a thing.
Northern California west of I-5 is said by geologists (some may try to cover up this) to be on a shelf that can slide into the sea as a result of a powerful earthquake at sea including a potential eruption of a large undersea off the coast of Eureka. Time to maybe pack up and move? 😉
.
I was at Walmart when the alert went out and it was weird to hear all the phones go off.
Surfs up, dude.
Let’s go surfin’ now.
Shoot the curl!
Warning has been canceled,
After shocks are happening.

No, I didn’t feel a thing. Yeah, I had people ask me if I felt it; weird!
People were hysterical over this in Martinez, for crying out loud.
Why do the Japanese get to name them?
We have larger coasts.
Should have an American name.
Like ‘Waves of Woe’. Or ‘Enema of the Gods’.
