The following is from the Concord Police Department:
Holiday Traffic Enforcement in Sunvalley Mall & Diamond Blvd. Corridors
This holiday season, our Traffic Unit is stepping up efforts to ensure your safety and smooth travel around the Sunvalley Mall shopping corridors.
We are deploying our skilled motorcycle officers to increase enforcement and improve traffic flow during the busy shopping season.
Our officers on motorcycles can easily navigate congested areas, allowing for efficient traffic enforcement and quick access to adjacent trails. Their presence will help deter dangerous driving behaviors, and they’ll also be focused on theft suppression to ensure a safe shopping experience for all.
Remember to drive safely, watch for pedestrians, and stay vigilant while shopping.
Thanks!
I often see cars running the red light while turning left off of Willow Pass onto Diamond Blvd. This is following the end of the orange light, they enter the intersection on a full red.
People no longer have respect for the police. This temporary patch isn’t going to improve anything.
Wish they would hang out along the Clayton Road 500.
What Cyn said!!
Seasonal enforcement is a temporary fix to a permanent problem.
The two cops in the picture look like identical twins.
No, one looks Asian and is shorter than the other officer who seems to be White.
It’s an optical illusion, the bike in the foreground appears lower than the bike in the background. I don’t know about their nationality, but I was being facetious when
I said they look like identical twins.
Cool, do Todos Santos next. Too many idiots who think they can park in the middle of the street if they put their hazards on, roads too narrow to safely pass them on. And idiots who park at the bus stop. I’d ticket them myself if I could. Alas…
They’ll get stuck in traffic just like everybody else….
There are not enough cops in any City in any state to take care of the traffic problems and stupid drivers.
Glad to hear they are using skilled motorcycle riders I would hate to think what would happen if they were unskilled as much as the drivers are that they’re after.
Good luck is not going to make any difference that they’re there, but at least I know they’re there and not on any other streets that I’m driving crazy on.
