About 5,000 people are without power in parts of Walnut Creek, Concord and Pleasant Hill today. The outage stretches from Oak Grove road to North Main Street along Ygnacio Valley road and also hits parts of Treat boulevard in Pleasant Hill. It’s currently unknown when power will be restored and the cause of the outage is under investigation.
UPDATE: The power has been restored.
Well at least if the wind blows all that area is safe..
… no wind, no searing temps, no rain, 4 rate increases in 12 months later, and still ……. at least it wasn’t as long as others … sigh
More electric cars, stoves, heat pumps please, and less hydroelectric dams, nuclear power plants. Are we third world yet?
But (sarcasm) if we make good use of Nature’s fully renewable run-offs and snow-melt or divert a portion of Nature’s rushing waters for hydroelectric Clean/Renewable Energy production… where will the poor ocean Salmon go to lay their eggs…and what about the smelt…don’t forget the smelt!
BUT, (seriously) what about… as part of the fully renewable Hydroelectric..we can use electrolysis to create… VOILA! Hydro-gen-gas ~~~clean hydro-gen gas everywhere….!
The issue was resolved quickly. Crew working on Oak Grove Rd. WOnder if some kook ran into a power pole.
Anyway Thank you PG@E for quick service/
Transformer blew …. a neighbor was walking their dog & witnessed it …. called it in to PG&E … although they could probably tell where it was
They dont even say why.10 years from now you will only get electricity on alternating days causing food to get more preservatives because your fridge is always off and cancer rates skyrocket..all by design.
If Ca keeps doing what its doing.
Cancer rates skyrocket due to:
I encourage all Californians to reach out to their elected officials and put pressure on them to close Diablo Canyon and The Argus Cogeneration Plant so we can import more electricity from other states at higher prices. (DEMOCRATIC LOGIC).
PG&E need to charge hire rates whenever the power has been shutoff preventing them them from increasing their profit.
Well played sarcasm is an underrated art form. 😁
