Traffic Stop Leads to Major Arrest
Last week, our patrol officers conducted a traffic stop that led to a significant discovery. Officers smelled marijuana and observed it in plain view. Further investigation revealed:
• 2 loaded firearms
• Nearly $10,000 in cash
• Prescription drugs, marijuana, and cocaine packaged for sale
The driver, with a history of felony convictions, was arrested on firearms and narcotics charges. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence, uncovering:
• 2 additional firearms, including a fully automatic weapon
• Nearly ½ pound of cocaine
• Almost 200 oxycodone pills
• Prescription codeine syrup
• 40+ pounds of marijuana
• $12,000 in cash
The name of the suspect was not released.

Next comes the charge dropping and plea bargaining to save on the cost of a trial.
DON’T set an example of what happens to convicted felons in CoCo county when caught with firearms, drugs and large amount of cash.
