After Thanksgiving. We’re celebrating Christmas in December, so I see no reason to decorate in November.

This year … before … because Thanksgiving is so late. I want to enjoy my Christmas decor for a while before I take it all back down.

Is this question for seeing at stores or at home?
I have little Vignettes throughout my house, set-up year-round.
Halloween, Christmas, Winter, Spring, Easter, 4th of July, etc.
I enjoy seeing my little Treasures, … makes me smile.
Christmas decorations before December are a turnoff

We always start the day after Thanksgiving, unless we have house guests. At minimum, our string lights are hanging outside by sunset on Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.

I am required by the voices to have house lights (at the very least) up before sundown of the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is late, so there will be a house in my neighborhood decorated to celebrate both Thanksgiving and Christmas. There will be some Christmas, but the full deal will start on Thanksgiving.

For stores a week or two before Thanksgiving is okay. Before Halloween too early, but lot’s of stores, including where I work already have the Christmas decorations up. When I was growing up in Denmark tradition was you didn’t put up the tree until the 23rd, we had no artificial trees, and my dad hated anything artificial, he helped the big farmer pick out the best trees, so we always had a very nice tree, and we kept it up until early January. We had real candles, as artificial lights were not available, in Denmark at that time, I think, and even if they were my dad would never have approved. I did have an advent calender starting Dec 1, and we did table decorations (home made also starting early December. When I got married and had my daughter, I adopted some American customs, we did have a real tree, and electric lights and put it up a few weeks before Christmas.

After. Valentine’s and Chinese NY shared February in 2024. We had Easter and St. Paddy’s in the same month, too. No fun for those of us who like to decorate.

Once Santa Claus arrives at the end of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is OK. But we are too busy eating and enjoying the day so wait unit the next day or later.
I am inclined to decorate on the weekend following Thanksgiving, but I sometimes get outvoted. During the lockdown, having something to celebrate became very important.
