Improve the community by replacing him for a start
DOMO,
.
Contra Costa County Supervisor Federal Glover is retiring at the end of his current term, which gives him maybe 11-weeks left in office.
.
Pittsburg City Councilmember and District Director for Congressman Mark DeSaulnier and former District Director for former Congressman George Miller, Shanelle Scales-Preston, will more than likely defeat Antioch City Councilmember, business owner, and former police lieutenant, Mike Barbanica, as she’s the “favorite” in the race to replace Federal Glover on the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors.
.
Antioch City Councilmember Mike Barbanica’s previous career as a police officer hurts him in this race because many voters don’t want him joining former police officer and current Supervisor Ken Carlson on the Board of Supervisors, as they don’t want 2-former police officers occupying seats on the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors.
Couldn’t be too soon. Never forget that Glover mandated vaccines for county workers.
He’s got all the people he needs to hear about with their gripes and grievances for every city around here right here on Claycord, what needs to be changed and or left alone.
He’s going to find pretty quickly that there is no getting back the way things were for the better. It’s all downhill from this point on.
WORKS925,
.
The majority of people posting comments here on Claycord don’t live in Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors District 5, otherwise known as “The Waterfront District.”
.
Supervisor Federal Glover and the other 4-Contra Costa County Supervisors aren’t looking for individuals with “gripes and grievances” to serve on these boards and commissions. They’re looking for individuals in their own image, those who think the way they do, believe what they do, and will support and champion their agendas.
.
You stated “He’s going to find pretty quickly that there is no getting back the way things were for the better.” What makes you think that Supervisor Glover wants to “get back the way things were for the better?” He doesn’t!!! He doesn’t believe the past was better, he has absolutely no desire to “get back the way things were for the better,” as he doesn’t agree with your views and assessments. He believes the present and the future are “for the better.”
Communities seek Supervisors who want to get involved in improving communities.
Voters announce opportunities to get elected to actually do something for constituents instead of expanding bloated bureaucracy to appear busy.
Shuffling the chairs on the Titanics deck on again
Of course someone is asking for community involvement and Claycordians are sitting behind their computer/phone screens expecting one person to make all the changes for them while they kick back and watch NCIS reruns. Get involved in your community or stop typing. The people I personally know who gripe the loudest are the least involved in their communities (ie NOT INVOLVED AT ALL).
Glover has been in an elected office since 2002. The problems he is trying to “fix” are problems created from his own policies. All he is doing is creating more government that is going to require adding even more sales tax. Best thing he could do is to let people keep their own money and take it waste on more committees.
