A few dozen residents in Clayton will have their power turned off later tonight, with expected restoration to occur on October 20.
This temporary outage is called a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). It happens during severe weather. Severe weather, such as high winds, can cause trees or debris to damage equipment. If there is dry vegetation, this could lead to a wildfire.
If your power is expected to be shut off, you should have been notified by PG&E.

What a crock of crap safety shutoff for 2 days, and the picture I saw of the two streets affected have underground utilities.
Sounds like PG&e has more of a problem with her underground crap nothing related with safety because of high winds and wires overhead.THIS IS NOT PSPS!
who is the spokesman?Cam Allah ?
Sounds more like lawsuit avoidance.
