Did I beat Cowellian………🎆🎇

Of course not – Cowellian’s always first!

I was hoping he’d pop in early with reassurances. Not sure exactly where he and family are, ( South Carolina?) but Hurricanes and Tornadoes… and if you escape those, there’s the residual winds and rain.

Nah, he’s in Tennessee.

Did you hear that they are bringing back MASK MANDATES?
Beginning November 1st.
Just to “FLATTEN THE CURVE”. Are people going to fall for that BS again????

Just healthcare workers and visitors to healthcare facilities so don’t get your jock strap in a twist over it.

Just?

I highly recommend Habana Express in the Safeway Shopping Center on Contra Costa Blvd. – not the one just north of Sun Valley – the one opposite the Pleasant Hill Post Office (Matsu Sushi and Nations). The food is very high-quality, healthy and tasty. I asked them to put together a vegetarian plate for an out of state visitor and it was no problem – they put it together perfectly, even though it was not on the menu. A very satisfied customer here!

MR. MAYOR OF CLAYCORD,
.
Since we’re now less than 30 days from an election, is there any chance you’d bring back “Local Politics” again for the next 4 weeks? Local politics just seem to get lost on the politics page. It would be helpful and appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.

O.K., … just a bit of a vent and wish I didn’t notice or have to see this on a daily basis.
Is it just me, or is that almost every guy walking on the street has his pants hanging below his butt with their boxes showing? Plus, most of them have belts on their pants too, …. really!? I was told long ago; it was a prison thing to let other inmates know they were available for, … umm, …you know.

I think it’s more of an announcement of “I don’t have a real job nor do I plan to get one”.

Roz, the other day I saw a guy with his pants down below his butt and he wasn’t wearing any underwear, just a pair of hairy cheeks. The best part of these clowns is when the police are chasing them, their pants will fall down and trip them up.

Roz, I was told something close to that – but the pants hang down because belts are confiscated in jail to prevent suicide by hanging. It became a prison “look” that non-prisoners emulate.

Cowellian’s first.
My daughter and son-in-law in central Florida waited until the last minute to seek higher ground during Milton’s mayhem. I am grateful that they survived unharmed, as did their home.

One of my best friends lives on Marco Island, which is by Naples and Fort Myers. He has had some flooding in the past, but no real serious damage. I worried about him when I realized how serious Milton were, I send him an email, but didn’t expect an answer right away. He emailed me yesterday seems he and his live in girlfriend since the seventies (don’t know why he doesn’t marry her) were at his A frame in Maine, but he heard from his neighbors his house was okay. We have been friends since I was an au pair in Westport. When I was going through a divorce and he was at a medical conference in Los Angeles he made a detour to SF to make sure I was okay and lend moral support, when we had the earthquake in 89 he called at 6 a.m. to make sure I was okay. I’m blessed to have such good friend. By the way he is a staunch Trump supporter, so we don’t discuss politics much, ha, ha.

Please bring back ‘Local Politics’, it truly deserves attention.

Joke

I’m out shopping for buttons, zippers, and Velcro. I don’t actually need them, but I’m looking for some kind of closure.

“I’m friends with 25 letters in the alphabet. I don’t know why.”
–one-liner young English comic with braces from a few years back, whose name I just forgot, but if I go look for that now I’ll forget to post this. And it’s all downhill from there. Or is it? What? Who’s behind me?

October is National Italian-American Heritage Month, celebrated in October to coincide with Columbus Day. National Italian-American Heritage Month was first celebrated in 1989 with a proclamation of the United States Congress and President George H. W. Bush.

Time to party on Monday!

Peeve: There are few things more disgusting than someone spitting sunflower seeds on the ground in public. I was at the Autopia Car Wash in Walnut Creek on Friday, and a man sitting next to me was creating quite the pile of shells and saliva on the ground. Pathetic behavior. Yes, I moved.

When I was a kid, it was against the law to spit on a public sidewalk or in a park… Tuberculosis was really rampant. Public Spitting would get you a ticket and $-fine, and if I remember correctly, you had to appear in court and provide medical proof of not having TB.

Spitting is gross. Why do teen boys seem to think it’s “tough-guy” cool?

@No Excuses
I don’t know if you saw this but an Oregon Ducks football player was rightfully ejected from the game last Saturday for spitting on one of his opponents…..got him right in the face. Gross!

Eeeeew …. gag.

Oh Geez! I meant to post that in the Politics column. Please forgive my Fox Paw.

Mayor & Team: Is it a “Reset” day for everyone’s Login info? I did a long post and a response -or two? earlier that showed “waiting” but now are gone — and I had to reset. (pouting)

YIKES!!!!!

Sittin’ on front porch other day (west Clayton) having morning coffee and surfing the web.
Heard Fire engine siren close by and a few minutes later Ambulance came by with their emergency lights on heading east. Couple minutes later comes back, driver stopped, asks dog walker if he’d seen any Fire engines. Few minutes later they come by again, headed east, again ? ? ? ?
.
Now I’m wondering what kind of navigation aid they are using.

Called Hospice Thrift Shop Clayton Roadwanting to donate two large items, one in excellent condition the other brand new still in the box, was given another phone number to call about picking items up. Only got a recording, left my number and description of items.
.
No call back, expected at very least the courtesy of a return call saying they weren’t interested. Spoke with neighbor, they had same problem and no longer deal with them and I’m doing the same.
