UPDATE: Concord Police Arrest Murder Suspect

The following update is from the Concord Police Department:

On 10/6/24, at approximately 7:45 p.m., CPD officers responded to a gas station in the 2800 block of Grant Street for a disturbance involving a male struck by a vehicle. Officers arrived and found a 33-year-old man with injuries caused by a vehicle impact. Officers and Paramedics provided medical aid, but the man died at the scene. Investigation showed the male was intentionally struck by a vehicle being driving by the suspect. The suspect fled the scene but was located a short distance away.

Alex Lazaro-Rosas, a 22-year-old Concord resident was arrested for murder and booked at county jail. The victim and suspect in this case were acquainted. The victim’s name is not being released pending notification of family.

Lock him up. Threw his life away at 22. Oh well.

they’ll let him out on bail and he’ll be on the beaches of Mexico before the sun sets.

I remember when you used to be able to run people over for panhandling. Geez times have changed.

Good job LE.

I like how they failed to say that the 22 year old ran over the victims head 7 times and fled the scene. As if that man didn’t have kids or a wife to provide for!? People are DISGUSTING AND SICK!
