Okra, green slime, gooey, mushy okra.
Cut it open & it looks like a wasp nest inside and tastes even worse.
I wouldn’t feed it to a pig.

If I can only name one, it’s Brussels sprouts.
If I can get away with naming two, cauliflower.
When I was a little kid, they made me throw up.
I haven’t eaten them since.

Pineapple, for some reason I’m allergic.

Raw sweet onions. My parents loved them and made sandwiches of just those and bread. The onions were grown locally and known nationally. Cooked (sauteed) is a different story and I don’t mine raw green onions.

Sweetbreads. I say this because I would more likely be served this “delicacy” (bleaach) than the other I also wouldn’t eat, brain.

Mushrooms and black olives.
With mushrooms, its more of a texture thing. I’m not too hot for the taste either, but I’ll eat them when they’re used in a recipe.
I have always hated black olives. I’ll pick them out of prepared dishes or just not eat.

That is called Steak Tartar and is considered a gourmet treat. Not that I like it, can’t even remember if I ever did eat it. I know I have been at events where it was served.

When it’s raw, it’s called steak tartare. Rarely eat meat anymore but tried it once years ago in Italy, and it was delicious.

In Italian restaurants it’s called carpaccio, and I find it delicious.

Carpaccio is thinly sliced raw meat, most commonly beef or fish.

Wow, seventeen comments in and nobody has written “You just haven’t had it cooked or prepared correctly” yet. Might be a new record for this subject.

Octopus: after watching My Octopus Friend, I just don’t have the stomach for it. My stomach is churning even thinking about it.

I tried octopus once, and it was like chewing on rubber,
so I gave it to the dog. The dog got tired of chewing on it,
and spit it out and walked away.

Tako…….Octopus grilled on the BBQ Japanese style… Nom!

@ Dawg, you need to boil it for 30-45 minutes before you put it in the BBQ.

Cilantro. Tastes like soap. Some sources claim that cilantro tastes like bed bugs, but I’ve never tried them and therefore I can’t validate or invalidate this claim.

It’s interesting that they say come people taste cilantro differently than others.

durian

I won’t touch any kind of offal. Yuck.

Is it a coincidence that “offal” sounds/looks like “awful”?

Somewhere out there must be limerick using those two words!

Liver and eggplant.

Human flesh.

Jello. I’ll try just about anything, but Jello just disgusts me. Always has.
