Corner Kitchen on Willow Pass.

Excellent sliders as well.

@ Bob ~

You are so right.
In fact, My Hubby is on his way to Corner Kitchen.

I recently tried KFC fries. Now my go to side dish whenever I visit.

Also a BIG fan of Fuddrucker’s potato wedges dipped in melted jalapeno cheese. Technically not a true fry, but still delicious.

@ The Professor ~
Thoughts are my favor too with melted jalapeno cheese, YUMM!

Yes Fud’s wedges dip in cheese is wonderful. Sadly there are no Fudruckers around here. Think the closest is either Roseville or Sacramento.

There is a Fuddruckers in the Willows shopping center in Concord. I eat there one a month just for the fries and jalapeno cheese.

Eating french fries is like playing Russian roulette.
It’s a heart attack waiting to happen.
When I was working as an RN, I saw what blood that’s high
in triglycerides (fat) looks like. The plasma, which is supposed
to look amber and clear, looks like bacon grease.
Ever since then, I stopped eating anything high in trans fat,
or saturated fats.

I agree with Dawg…Burger King fries all the way.

I rarely eat french fries. Years ago I often would go into the City and meet friends for a bite to eat. We loved Perry’s on Union Street, and their burger with french fries were really good. When my familie from Denmark was visiting I wanted them to taste a real American Hamburger and I took them to Perry’s and of course we had Bloody Mary’s to make it a complete Perry’s experience. I don’t eat McDonalds french fries, I read something about they were processed and it was a turn off. KFC use to have country fries that were pretty good, but they don’t anymore. If I order french fries once in a blue moon it will be from a restuarant not a fast food place.

Good call. I only get to the Union Street Perry’s once a year or so, but the fries there are the best.

I’ve been going to Perry’s since I was in college in the late 70s!

We have problem been there the same time. I moved to California in 75, Perry was the first place me ex husband took me to (he had been to SF several times on business), after l got divorced l use to go quite often with friends or dates from about 1983 until late ninetis
I think when my cousin and her husband was here in 2007 that was the last time l was there. You knew the bartenders were friendly, food good and drinks great. Kind of miss those days.
.

Five Guys or Wendy’s – but only – when they’re hot and fresh … best though are still homemade garlic steak fries

Sylvia’s Country Kitchen in Antioch.

The Habit or In N Out when you get theirs well done.

Outback cheese fries with extra cheese. Don’t eat fast food garbage so wouldn’t know about their fries.

I really don’t eat “fast” food but every once in awhile I have to have a small order of McDonald’s fries. They have just the right amount of salt to make them fab. In the winter I will put them on the floor by the heater in the Panzer and eat them at home with a dip of garlic ketchup. YUM!

Red Robin! Bottomless a bonus!

Tugboat Fish n Chips – Pleasant Hill. Haven’t been in a long while, but they do in my opinion.

The Greenery in walnut creek.

How about the Red Onion on Monument. They used to have good food but haven’t been there in a while.

This is a crappy post, we should be encouraging people to eat healthier, not making roundtables discussing which poison has is the tastiest. That having been said…

I was with friends recently getting dragged to Chick Fil A and the waffle fries were soggy and disappointing.

You should really just grab a knife and a potatoe and throw the fries you cut up in 45 seconds into an air fryer. It’s so much better than store bought and it’s fast and easy and almost free.
