You can’t beat the Caprice Seafood and Steakhouse in Tiburon for the best abalone.

Favorite? anywhere, probably Omega’s in Niles, IL. Here in Concord, hmmm, either Jack’s in PH or Chopan Kabob on Monument (best fish dish -tandoori fish- I have ever had).
The Chinese Kitchen, 3426 Clayton Rd
We’ve been going there for 30 years.

I like Jack’s in PH also, many selections, the Italian Mac n Cheese is great(split it with someone) the bartenders are crazy busy but are two of the very best. Fiores in Concord also is very good(lamb shank cannot be beat). Use to go to Moresi’s chophouse in Clayton but it has turned into just soso on meals, plus, the owner is a simp( was a huge Biden supporter). And I quote, “ he sure was on point”. This was on day after the Trump/Biden debate

We really don’t have a favorite, and don’t eat out much.
It’s more like, …. what sounds tasty to eat if we’re out and about.
More likely a place that cooks food I normally have not mastered the flavors on.

The Back 40! They have a great variety of food and excellent service in comfortable surroundings.
We ate at Gadsby’s in VA our recent trip to DC. Went because it was a building from the 1770s and we just wanted to experience at least the building from the time of our Founding. Needless to say, it was fan-tas-tic. I will have to look at Le Diplomat for the next time I go.

Hotel Mac in Point Richmond, but that was forty years ago.
Best glazed carrots I’ve ever had – I’ve tried to duplicate them, but I can’t come close. Maybe they used a pressure-cooker.
My favorites are pretty much all gone: Hugo’s Lighthouse in the Boston area, Garibaldi’s in Charleston, 5th Quarter in Nashville, and Cliff House in San Francisco.

Montecatini in Walnut Creek, best Italian restaurant in the EastBay.
Yes, Montecatini is good, as is the service, but the noise level is not conducive to having a conversation. Prices are considerably higher than other high-end Italian places, and parking is not convenient.
The Golden Corral.

Troy greek restaurant or Florence Italian restaurant, both in Martinez
I’ll have to give Florence another shot. The first time was not good.
O.G.! (Oh God)
Here we go…… who’s going to bring up the O.G. first? (Olive Garden) 😋
I’d say Badge was first! Ha ha

Geez…. I never met anybody who didn’t like Back Forty…. tho they don’t offer banana bread anymore… that kinda sux.
And, Back 40 now charges extra for baked potato.
