ConFire is responding to multiple reports of a vegetation fire inside Newhall Park, in Concord. Tentative best access from Wharton Way, to the north end of the park. A CPD officer on scene reports roughly a 15 yard by 15 yard area of grass on fire, with a fast rate of spread.

Saw it from Clayton Rd a while ago with large plumes of black smoke. Assumed it was a house fire. Hope everyone is ok

Photo above is from Alert California, uses cameras mounted on mountain top radio towers all over California. Images are sorted by last time camera moved. Is really handy during high fire season.

Just came back from Loews to see another fire behind the houses backed up to 242 by Grant St. they had the streets closed.

The City/County/CalTrans needs to TAKE CONTROL of the dozens/hundreds/thousands of drugged out “unhoused” plague. Places with homes packed like sardines… a small fire can become a fire-storm in minutes.
